Dr. Wang has been keeping our family strong and healthy for years. I first went to get for exhaustion after caring for my mother through her cancer battle. Dr. Wang brought me back to life. Since then, my entire family has seen her. Some visit her frequently, and some for seasonal tune ups. We all benefit. She is amazing.
I have been to many acupuncturists over the years--more than a dozen over nearly 40 years, in fact--and Dr. Wang is one of the most extraordinary. She is extremely knowledgeable and capable, trained as a doctor in both Western and Traditional Chinese medicine in China, and has taught for more than 20 years at the acupuncture college in San Diego, but more important she has a special gift for healing. You probably know exactly what I mean when I say that not all medical practitioners, no matter how good their intentions, have this, but the ones who do change lives. Dr. Wang is extremely generous with her time and affection and concern, keeps you much longer if her schedule allows and she thinks you need it. She is extraordinarily gentle, yet strong at the same time. I have leukemia, take a very effective drug, but it was suppressing my bone marrow. When I first went to her little more than a month ago I felt very weak, always dizzy, exhausted, couldn't even vacuum without immediately lying down after five or ten minutes. Just a month later I have incredible energy, am exercising, cleaning my house, walking, and feel very firmly planted on the ground. Dr. Wang examines you with every bit of her intelligence, including her hands, which both massage and evaluate your energy and blockages. She is extremely interested in your comfort, covers you with blankets like a loving mother, checks on you every ten or 15 minutes to see how the energy is flowing, tucks you in with extra pillows as needed, and her deep cheerfulness and confidence that she can help is nearly as therapeutic as the treatment itself, which also includes herbs. At the end of the session she briskly massages you, incorporating qigong principles (it feels wonderful), and gives you herbs which she also has adapted to her patients' busy lives with her characteristic intelligence and thoughtfulness. She gives you small daily bags that are very easy to prepare and adjusts the taste to your preference. She keeps things very simple--her goal is not only to heal her patients, but to make them happy and comfortable in the process. Her love and concern for her patients is palpable, genuine and profound. I am amazed at how quickly and powerfully I responded to her treatment.
