Nice, relatively easy 6 mile hike (rt) with beautiful views of Poway and even downtown San Diego. No shade so go early if it's hot. Took us about 2 hours moving at a fairly brisk pace.
This is by far my favorite hiking spot in San Diego. I've been here several times, early morning and night hikes, but mostly I love the late afternoon/evening.
Beautiful views and foliage all around. The trail is well trafficked even on weekdays, but everyone is always friendly, the trails are well-maintained.
If you decide to go later in the day, I recommend a flashlight and a light jacket, it can get chilly.
A good get away from concrete and city life.
Great place to hike and close to San Diego. A little bit crowdedbut everyone is very friendly, easy going and polite. Beautiful views at the top and well worth a very moderate hike.
Really fun hike. Wife and I did this in 2 and a half hours, up and back. Can get slippery particularly towards the peak. Watch your step with all the rocks and you will have fun.
One of the best hikes in San Diego. Medium difficulty suitable for a lot of people. One of the few trails that's open 24 hours in the county. Awesome for sun rise/set hikes.
