Culp Valley Primitive Campground

This place is fantastic for what it is: a fee-free place to spend the night with pit toilets and easy access to both trails and the road. The camping areas suit both tent and vehicular options. They are also fairly close together. The campground is kept clean as are the toilets. A big thumbs up for this one.

Some super fun bouldering here! Great camping spots, with awesome views. I went mid week, and there was still a bunch of people. Overall, it was a super good time!

Really cool dispersed campground with lots of room between sites. Unfortunate that some campers can't do without their electronic fix. One trailer close to us ran their generator for almost 18 hours. Vault toilets were clean and maintained.

Well marked trails that lead to spectacular views. A rest room and clean useable camp spaces. The area is a giant granite stone garden loaded with plants and animals. Spend a day or a day and night.

Great area, fun little spot to set up for a few nights. Only giving 4 stars because the bathrooms wouldn't lock, and it was creepy to not know if someone would walk in on you in the middle of the night (especially as a woman) but it was a beautiful area. Some spots had fire pits. A lot of cholla cactus around, so keep in mind if bringing pets if they're not used to cactus if they're off leash.
