Cool place to stop snap a photo or two grab a soda and a snack stretch your legs have a chat with the locals. Nice little town.
Small temporary store while the original store is awaiting rebuilding after a fire. Looking forward to the day the new store opens . while the current store is limited in size and selection the store that was lost was indeed a gem. I'm sure the new store will even exceed the old one and will be a significant asset to the community and travelers.Snacks and cold drinks and some grocery items as well as hiking gear available . Store has recently added hay and bulk firewood sales with limited delivery available. U-haul rentals
The name says market, but this place is so much more! It is a community gathering place. It is a where you can get a snack, advice, and a lot of the times, meet someone from another part of the world. It’s a stop on the PCT. It’s run by two awesome people who are doing their best to make it better than it was before the fire.
This store not only has everything I need and then some. I can’t speak highly enough about how helpful Kym is to us PCT hikers. I am very thankful for her help after they closed. Picked me up and opened the store so I can have food and drinks. Above and beyond!! Yes a must stop if you are in a road trip or a backpacker!! They have a lot of stuff!!
Thank you!!
Update: MVM is open during regular business hours! They have moved into a larger building on the property and increased their inventory. Loads of snack and provisioning options available for the community, PCT hikers, campers, desert rats, etc.
All the standard fare and plenty of exciting other offerings for the discerning country store go'er.
PCT Hikers, they'll come scoop you up if you call them. Rooms available if you need them, water, and a shower.
They are still in the process of rebuilding. Stop by and support these fantastic humans growing this amazing market.
