The facilities are amazing here and the park itself is beautiful. They will occasionally have food truck events that have amazing eating options. There are lots of things to do and see for free here such as the botanical garden and a few museums.
This is the absolute gem of San Diego. An absolute must-see if you have not been. There is something for everyone and I really look forward to every new event here. The Christmas Lights celebration is great and the art museums are exquisite. I cannot wait for the next day I return. The artisan market is a must visit to see unique pieces from artisans across San Diego.
A must visit in San Diego!! What a beautiful place that you can spend hours at. The park is absolutely breathtaking! I spent a few hours here but I could easily spend the whole day. Most of the gardens and trails are free to visit. I loved roaming around and exploring. There are tons of places to park and the drive into the park is so pretty. My favorite places I wandered around in were the cactus garden and the greenhouse. Those are not to be missed! I love all the ornate buildings. I enjoyed seeing all the huge trees here. You can truly feel how fresh the air quality is here! There are also several options for dining here as well. I cannot wait to come back again and visit this park!
A bike ride through Balboa park is awesome. Lots to see and do. The museums are incredible. The park is busy but serene. A must see when visiting San Diego. Even if you live here, it's always a great place to visit.
I love it here, we always come here when we come to SD. It's a great place just to bring lunch and walk around. Decent restaurants. The museums are among the best in the country. Don't miss the Aerospace museum, Reuben H Fleet theater, the Natural History and Art museums. But the others are nice as well. The arboretum is beautiful. The rose and cactus gardens are beautiful as well.
