Sky Deck

What a nice location to have an upscale food court. We ate at Ambrogio 15The Milano Pizza Experience and it was amazing. We started with the Caprese Di Bufala with prosciutto. So, so good. I had the Risotto Di Chef Patrick which is the Risotto of the day. Mine was sausage and mushroom. It was very good. The other plates were Miami Vice Rigatoni and Linguine Pesto & Capesante. They were also very tasty. The wine was a Montepulciano. I highly recommend this place for the food and atmosphere.

Sky Deck is located in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. Constructed during the pandemic and finally opening its doors June 2021. Some say it has a Barcelona-Style restaurant vibe but I agree with the architect who created it with a maritime industrial design, this you see in the details rather than looking at the place as a whole. Sky deck offers nine restaurants and a central cocktail bar.
The restaurants include;

Craft House – Modern American
Glass House – Asian coastal inspired kitchen
Understory – Sky Decks Central cocktail bar
Kiin – Thai food feat. original recipes from Thailand
Le Parfait Paris – French savoir-Faire
Marufuku Ramen - Hakata-style Tonkotsu ramen
Zizikis Street Food – Modern Greek street food.
Urbana – Mexican gastronomy

Family and I sat at Understory, ordered most of our food from Glass House and Pad see ew from Kiin! All of what we ordered was absolutely delicious and amazing. The food came quick, seasoned well and hot. I will be posting pictures and reviews of Kiin, Glass House and Understory.. =)

The Sky Deck also features the Brewers Deck...

The space is quite small, well most space around the Sky Deck is small although, regardless of what restaurant or area you're at its very comfortable. The Brewers Deck also offers the same rotating menu as Understory the central bar. Both places offer food from all the restaurants at the Deck and is brought to your table. The deck features 3 Breweries; Northern Pine Brewing, Rough Draft Brewing, and Boochcraft Kombucha. But, The Brewers Deck is something spectacular the big views of the hills around del Mar did not disappoint, not to mention watching the sunset was beautiful

Great food corner where you can find different restaurants with delicious food! The space is very clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. From Tai food to Italian you have many different options. You can also find delicious desserts. If you get your food for to go you can enjoy a little outdoor space they have with a nice view.

I've been here a few times now (during the week) and have really loved this place. I've tried understory, the Italian spot, the Mediterranean spot, and Urbana.

I think so far my favorite is Urbana. The food was so good and the drinks were amazing! The service is also really good considering how busy this place can get. We had a party of 9 come in yesterday and he didn't miss a single thing and was checking up on us consistently.

I love that you can grab whatever food you want from downstairs and then head upstairs with the food to have a beer!

Sky Deck is a wonderful place and if you don't find what you need there, it's surrounded by other wonderful mini malls and plazas. The place is gorgeous, it's an art installation, itself. It's open and airy which is great at this moment in time and there are very wonderful restaurants and very stylish places to get a drink or some Asian food or a beautiful French breakfast. For instance. Beautiful restaurants. There are many places there and it's really gorgeous I highly recommend.
