We used Advantage Team when we purchased our home. Excellent staff and very professional experience. They went above and beyond to make the experience of purchasing our first home as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff and business. If in San Diego and you are not utilizing the Advantage team you are missing out.

I'm updating my review after Heather at Advantage Team reached out to me. She asked me how she could help and I explained the situation via email. She was prompt at responding and understanding of my frustrations. She refunded the application fee that I felt was unjust and went above and beyond by refunding my boyfriends, as well. They didn't have to refund his, or really either fee at all, but I appreciate the step above that she took to ensure that we were happy.

A big part of choosing a rental property is trusting the company or your landlord to follow through with what they say they're going to do. While we ultimately chose to rent elsewhere, I do believe that Advantage Team would be a trustworthy company to rent from. Perhaps there was a miscommunication with our transaction and I would be willing to give them another shot. At this point, I would consider renting a home from them. Thank you Heather for your excellent customer service.

Highly disappointed with the rental experience here. My boyfriend and I were looking for a property to rent and when we viewed the home, the person showing it (Malea, I believe), informed us that my we should submit one application together. He applied later that evening (Friday) and we heard nothing until we reached out on Tuesday. Sarah then told us that I would need to submit an application, as well.

At this point, we've both submitted applications--each paid $35--are more than capable of making rent when Sarah emails back and says that we're unable to proceed because my boyfriend isn't currently employed, even though he's starting with a company before our move-in date and was able to show substantial financial assets.

Again, no answer to our questioning of why we can't proceed until 4 days later when he receives an email from Sarah saying there was "so much interest" and they've gone with another applicant.

This was handled incredibly unprofessionally. If the fact that he was employed was the deciding factor the entire time, what point was there in me submitting an application? I suppose they were more concerned about making a small profit off of the application fee.

It's disappointing that there are companies like this, but I'm glad I found out before we rented. I'll never use this company and I strongly suggest that prospective tenants stay away. There are numerous property management companies in San Diego to choose from--don't give this company your business.
