The Fish Market

Sat outside on the deck which was lovely. When I went it wasn't too busy because my body clock was a couple hours ahead of the local clock. Nevertheless, service was fast and friendly, and the wait staff really took the time to discuss what the options were. I went with the local black cod with scalloped potatoes and basil cherry tomatoes. I opted against the Cajun seasoning, mostly because that's the flavor profile back home and that turned out to be the best choice, as the cod was so wonderfully light and buttery that an aggressive spice profile would have just ruined it. Everything was delicious (especially loved the sourdough bread, though I wish the butter weren't near frozen) and I'll probably try to make it back out one more time before I head home so I can try something else.

Stopped in to have a beer at the bar. Also ordered the white clam chowder. Really good and the bartender included bread and butter. Our bartender was the best - very good service. They have an outdoor seating area that looks over the water and the Midway. I would love to come back and have dinner here.

We visit this restaurant annually, and were never disappointed. I love Maine lobster and they do it perfectly. If it's just the two of you, ask for an outside table. The place is busy so I suggest making a reservation. Parking can be difficult, we just use the valet and pay the $10. The food is amazing and it won't disappoint.

Three couples rendezvoused here for a delightful reunion dinner together. Beverages, dinners and experience were most memorable and positive. Good tasty fresh fish restaurant, with a very good menu to choose from. Service was good for a fairly fast moving restaurant. Location is great on the waterfront and walkable from MST hotels in San Diego downtown.

Lovely views of the bay from the second story as as less crowded. Good service. I ordered the Prawn Cobb Salad that came with three prawns for $27. Good but not remarkable. My friends ordered the fish and chips that came with cole slaw. If you come here, you are coming for the spectacular views.
