“You need a tattoo while cruising around OB? Stop in here! The place is super clean and they make sure to keep everything sterilized and sanitary. Great guys with great attitudes. Laid back and ready to get to work. I’ve known for years I wanted the OB logo, and on this trip, I had time to make it a reality. I didn’t have an appointment, but after a quick convo, Jose was down to work. He set everything up while I got cash at a nearby ATM. Jose was patient and courteous, placing and re-placing the design until I was happy with the placement. He worked expertly and quickly, and his work healed perfectly. My new OB logo is now one of my favorites, and should I come back to OB in the future, I very well may hit up Jose for more work. 10/10 would recommend.”

“After we got off the plane and got our rental car our mission was to see the ocean and eat some seafood. This place was awesome. Great atmosphere. It was a busy Friday night and we still got patio seating with an awesome Pacific Sunset view. The 1lb shrimp cocktail is legit, so is the spicy lemonade! Thanks for an amazing welcome to San Diego!”

“Best liquor store in San Diego! They cook all day every day. Breakfast is even served all day. They have a great selection of not only liquor and beer, but delicious food as well. I've never eaten anything here that wasn't super yummy. Oh! I'd also say they have the best acai bowls in San Diego hands down. The staff is great. They are very friendly and welcoming. I've been going here for over 7 years and can not believe I have not written a review for them. Keep up the great work!”

“If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIly. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! Location! Location! Location! I was all about it and the prices were fair. My girlfriend and I surfed, enjoyed the dining around the area and nestled by the beach. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent. The beachfront was the hotel's best offer. A++!”

“I have been meditating on and off for several years. I have looked into various communities and I’ve never quite found my home. I considered myself in a spiritual buffet for all these years, taking little bites here and there of different practices. Nothing I have found so far has made me want to really dive deeper in. Part of this was because of the rigidity and the formality of these different practices. From the moment I walked in the door of the Dharma Center, all feelings of pretentiousness, and structure that made me feel a bit of unease at other locations was nowhere to be found. Comfort at once. Belonging without having to try, to say the right things, dress a certain way, etc. I’ve found my clubhouse. I’ve found a place where I want to go, not where I feel obligated to go. I am getting to finally have that sense of community that I have missed while I was struggling through my own meditation practice, alone. Whether you have practiced meditation for a long time or just starting to journey through your own spiritual buffet, I highly suggest you stop by and take a bite of what Dharma Center has to offer. I hope you find it as refreshing as I have.”

“My girlfriend is from Hawaii and is always looking for good Poke. We came to San Diego for a quick visit and google searched for the best poke. Well, she was impressed (which is not easy). The owner is from Hawaii and you can taste it in the food. Finally, a place she will be excited to eat Poke and other Hawaiian favorites!”

“After long 12 hour shifts and stressful days I could turn to this amazing shop after a day at the beach. Great prices, great merchandise and amazing staff I couldn't not look forward to going there more and now that I'm out of state I can't help but miss it and if you are a comic nerd ots a reason to visit San Diego in its self”

“Amazing spot located right on Newport ave in Ocean Beach. Ordering a large bottle of beer ($7) comes with house sake which is a great deal. The seafood ramen was so delicious especially on this windy day on the beach. The calamari rings were nice and crispy on the outside and the sauce paired really well with them. Highly recommend.”

“Great coffee and friendly owners. I’ve managed not to try the pastries but they all look delicious! I highly recommend their coffee and teas over most of the other coffee shops in OB. Small store but great service. The chocolate covered espresso beans are no joke. Try them they are great!”

“Russell is a pleasure to meet! You can definitely see the passion in his work, not just through the pictures he captures, but just by listening to him. I really appreciated the stories he shared with my wife and I. Thank you, Russell! I enjoyed our visit to your shop, and we will definitely be back!”

“Absolutely love, love, LOVE this gem of a restaurant in Ocean Beach! Atmosphere is lively, with a lot of locals who eat there a frequently. I have eaten many different meals there & they are all excellent, but my go to all time favorite is and is my absolute favorite to order is the #5 crunchy beef taco, cheese enchiladas, very tasty refried beans with the most delicious sauce lunch special which is made to perfection!!!! Excellent and Yummy!! My husband usually orders the eggs & tamale plate which is excellent as well. The employees are very friendly & know many guests by name & make all guests feel like they are part of the family as they are. They cater to all with extreme professionalism & have been with the restaurant for a very long time. On weekends it is a good idea to arrive early as it is usually very crowded & usually a wait. Outstanding overall!!!”

“I stopped and looked at their selection of gorgeous wire-wrapped necklace pandants for over an hour! The woman working at the time was very patient with me, helped me decide what to get, and ended up giving me a really great discount for buying several pendants. I am the kind of person who will leave a store FAST if the employees try to sell me stuff, but in no way was this woman impatient or pushy with me. I will be returning regularly to check out their awesome selection!!! They also have extremely cute purses and handbags with giant faces of cats and dogs which I haven't seen at other gift stores. This store seems to have much more unique items than the other gift stores on Newport. Check it out for sure.”

“The greatest place in the world. Stay here if you want to have the best memories for the rest of your life. It's such a clean hostel, great kitchen, cleanest hostel toilets I have seen, a big back patio to hangout when you're not at the beach and a front patio to sit and people watch as the ocean beach locals go about their day. The beach is two blocks away, you will spend most of your day here. You can rent surf boards at the front deck. After spending your day at the beach swimming, surfing and tanning I would recommend a sunset walk to sunset cliffs and watch the famous California sunsets (incredible). Then it's back to the hostel for the evening activities which include pub crawls, beach bonfires, BBQ and loads of other cool stuff. The next morning after your fun night in OB there is free breakfast served every morning and then do it all over again. The hostel also offers a free shuttle bus all over San Diego so you are not just limited to ocean beach. But the most amazing thing about OB is the amazing individuals that you will meet from all over the world and friendships that will last a lifetime. OB I love you x”

“Reset — exactly how I feel after each weekly float session. Whether my float experience was nurturing, or playful, or revealing, my mindset and body get what is needed at the time and I feel amazing post-session. My mysterious severe back pain is healing each week largely attributed to floating. Nikki and Derrick are the bees knees and I highly recommend a session or more!”

“Not all Chiropractors are created equal. As someone that has been using Chiropractors for 30 years with mixed results from chronic lower back pain I feel qualified to say that Dr. Leo is the best . I live in the Seattle area and come to San Diego every winter and the first stop my wife and I make is to see Dr Leo . I was questioning Chiropractics effectiveness in general and almost gave up on it. I just wish his office was nearer to us. He will keep working on what is wrong till he gets you right before leaving the office. He has way more tools in his bag to get you adjusted then any chiro that I have ever used. If you live here in San Diego you should take advantage of his services. Not that money is an issue when getting that good of a service but his rates are very reasonable as well.”
