Chillino Rock Climbing

We had a great experience with the Gym to Crag course in Joshua Tree. It was a perfect mix between fun climbs and technical knowledge. We came to the course with zero outdoor experience (only gym top rope climbing). We now feel confident to climb outdoors on our own safely. Mike our instructor covered all the basics and also showed us some things more specific to Joshua Tree. I highly recommended taking this course if you are looking to go from the gym to climbing outdoors safely.

I took the intro to outdoor rock climbing class on 11/6 and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. It exceeded expectations. The guides were very skilled and were eager to share their knowledge and experiences. I feel like I learned a ton in the 5 hours we were there for. I would highly recommend the intro class for anyone with little to no rock climbing experience.

I joined Chillino's community sessions as a foreigner wanting to meet and get involved in the climbing community in San Diego. As an experienced climber indoors, I also wanted to get out there and learn the particular set of skills required to safely rock climb.
From day 1, Fabi exceeded my expectations of rock climbing with a guiding company. He cultivates the sharing of experiences among participants. He is always willing to add his thoughts and technical insights to the conversation. He always answers patiently any questions one has ( and I had a lot of them ), all this while favoring a vibe of friendship.
I also attended the Leading and anchoring class to get a more extensive background on these subjects. It was a wonderful weekend in Joshua tree, full of new learnings.
Chillino is really a must to discover outdoors climbing. Will and Jake are fantastic instructors forming a great team with Fabi. Get there, learn, climb and chill with Chillino!

I attended the Anchor and Lead Climbing course in Joshua Tree on the 24th and 25th of April 2021. Like many inexperienced climbers, I was looking to get the detailed instruction that would give me the confidence to take my passion for the sport of rock climbing to the next level - and Chillino Rock Climbing delivered! I not only learned everything I wanted to know, ( and more in some cases! ) but I had such a great time! I would recommend ANY course that Chillino offers because of how knowledgeable, kind, patient, and relaxed the instructors are.

I’ve been climbing for a while now, but my skill level has only increases a little throughout this time. I’ve climbed with Jakob from Chillino a few times now, and every time I feel my climbing ability level up while learning new valuable skills. He studies up on the crags and knows fun options for what to climb based on your skill level, while challenging you a bit too. He’s super encouraging and motivating, makes me feel extra accomplished. Looking forward to many future adventures with him!
