An's Tae Kwon Do

My daughter has been with An's Taekwondo for 4 years. We moved here from out of state, with my daughter already having her first degree black belt already. We checked out several other martial arts locations in neighboring towns. An's most closely matched the style that my daughter had been practicing. It was also the place where my daughter felt she would get the coaching she wanted.

An's pivoted well during the pandemic, offering a variety of options to continue practice. My daughter was able to earn her 2nd degree black belt in 2021, having been able to keep up her practice. The test was held at an outdoor park.

An's has also provided opportunities for my daughter to coach newer students, as well as be a judge at competitions in the LA area.

We have been extremely pleased with An's commitment to helping my daughter reach her goals.

Our 10 and 11 year olds started here about a month ago and they love it. Master An is a great teacher!

Master An is amazing with students of all ages. He teaches with his heart and discipline. My Grandson is also learning so much about respect. It is a joy to watch my grandson learn from Master An!

My daughter started with Master An back when she was in 4th grade and loved it. A few weeks later, my son joined (he was in 6th grade) and a month or so later, my wife and I saw how much fun they were having and tried a class. That was 6 years ago. All of us tested together for our black belts in December of 2013 and it was one of the best family experiences we have ever had.

Master An and An's Taekwondo are something special and the new students don't normally realize at first just how lucky they are to be taking classes from a man who is humble, kind, sincere and truly skilled as an instructor. Master An is an inspiration to his students at all levels and is a "master" at intertwining physical training, discipline, fun, humor, humility and the Jung Shin or "way of the mind" into his teaching. Master An works with each student's individual needs and limitations. The other great thing is the family atmosphere we experience - the black belts are generous and patient in helping the newer students. Everyone is so helpful! The fact that I was 45 when i joined did not hold me back at all. In the adult classes, we have students in their 20's, 30's 40's, 50's and even one man who is a true inspiration that is in the final preparation to test for his black belt at age 74! It is awesome.

The new location on Cannon Road is even better than the original studio in that it is larger and also incorporates the after school program. I have met the teachers for ATMA and seen the work of the kids and it is impressive.

If you are considering martial arts training for your kids or for yourself go in and meet Jenie and Master An. You will be glad you did.

We have been students here for the past 6 years since my 4 year old who is now almost 11 started. She is a first degree Black belt now, I am heading for my black belt this December and my son has been taking class for 7 months. Never could we imagine taking TKD anywhere else and having the feeling of family and community that we have with Master An and his family. I have grown over the years to truly see how respected and valued Mast An is not only within our Dojang walls but beyond with his peers and his own mentors. Ans TKD is truly a rich and life changing environment.
