I went to this attorney from a recommendation of my other attorney in La Jolla. They are very helpful and are treating this soon to be 79 year old client with the highest possible care of my convoluted situation. They cut to the chase and jump on it to shorten the time that other attorneys seem to drag their feet on. Update: resolved in a manner than meets our expectations

Most of our communication was done via email. After putting down the large retainer we paid thousands over for a step parent adoption. We would pay the invoices without asking questions or for detailed itemizations. They kept adding up till the point that my uncle scratched his head due to the fact of we exceeded the typical cost of stepparent adoption. I did the research it’s true. I believe we are getting over charged and being a military family income is limited. After paying another large balance in November I thought that was it. But no we wake up to almost another thousand due which I’m so confused as to why since the adoption happened over a month ago. They didn’t go to the court date to finalize and only sent us the adoption letter via mail since then? Work with people that won’t take advantage and over charge for every little thing. I wish we did more research instead of paying over thousands than the typical lawyer would charge for the same service.
