“I attended this school my senior year, very begrudgingly and uncertain and scared. I was not flourishing at my previous public school, and I needed to catch up on my credits to graduate in time. It didn't take long for me to "find my own place" at this school, and make friends. You feel like you are part of one big circle, because everyone is basically there for the same reason you are. We all wanted to succeed and get our diploma.. The teachers at this school were some of the most caring people I've ever met. Everyone, from the office staff to the teacher's, to (most of) the other student's, were just completely genuine and nice. It was basically the opposite of what I'd had visions that it would be.. Schools like this one get bad reps, but for me, it was one of the best moves I ever made.. I was able to do my work at my own pace, this school did not provide work overload like traditional schools, they try to make it fun and different, but you have a feeling inside you like they genuinely care if you succeed or fail. You've got to put in the effort; no one will do it for you, but they definitely encourage you to try your best. You've just got to make an effort and do the work and you will graduate. My graduation day was so special to me, and just as I was this scared, timid young woman the first day I arrived, I felt this bittersweet feeling knowing I was done and leaving something behind that truly helped me find my way and belief in myself that I could succeed if I just started caring... I graduated with honors, and the person who I met at this school who was so important to me at the time, was there for me that day to cheer me on as I walked across the stage. I will never forget that moment. Just writing this now, I miss it with all my heart. I would go back to this school today if I could and do it all over again:) I would recommend this place to anyone who just needs an extra lift up with a gentle hand and a reminder that they are important and need to believe in themselves.. They believe in you here. A special thanks to Ms. Lodge, (my creative writing/English teacher), I am going back to college this Spring to complete my degree in English with a minor in creative writing:) -Class of 2002”

“From start to finish the ILBA is the best class I have taken! Not only was the instructor very informative but she has a love for the coffee industry! The class as a whole felt the time spent at ILBA was well worth it . The staff was great and very supportive. I would recomend the class to anyone who is in the Coffee business, at any level! Good Stuff!”

“Growing Tree Academy has been the best thing for my son!! My son is a little hyper active and it is harder for him to focus on things that don't really interest him. He was labeled as the bad kid at his previous school and I was told that THEY thought he would be better off else where. So he was asked to leave. At the time I thought "what am I going to do?" but little did I know it was a blessing. If that situation never would have happened I would have never thought about taking him to Growing Tree Academy. Growing Tree has been so great with him. Ms. Suzi knew my son needed that extra little bit of attention and help because of his attention/focus issues and his hyper active issue. They saw a good kid with a big heart, who just struggled with figuring out and expressing his emotions. I have seen such a huge improvement since starting him there. They really, really do care about the children that attend their school and want the best for every child. The staff is so great and they do whatever they can to help better your child for the future. I plan on keeping my son in their program until 1st grade where I know he will be set up for success to transition into a public school. I am also going to post this review on their facebook page and yelp because I would recommend Growing Tree to EVERYONE hands down the best place to happen to my son and myself.”
