“Nice rental car facility with very easy access. Take the bus from the terminal and you are there. Make sure to read all the signs so you end up at the correct rental place. The exit is easy too. There is also wonderful art work installed around the facility. They give a nice overview of the art to look for on the bus ride over. Very close to the airport and is apparently much better than it used to be when the facility did not exist.”

“I stumbled upon this agency on accident, mostly because their pricing was about the most competitive amongst most of the other large airport based rental agencies. Easy to find from the SAN airport after a brief shuttle ride, check-in attendant was pleasant and helpful and not too pushy with up-selling insurance and other upgrade packages. Vehicle was clean and in nearly new condition. Return process was also very quick and simple. The return agent was very kind and helpful in directing us where to go to find the shuttle back to the airport. Would not hesitate to book with Sixt again if I am ever in the San Diego area.”

“I strongly suggest signing up for Avis Preferred program as it is free and they do such a great job to take care of you. No hustle pick up and drop off, you get to choose your car via app and may be offered an upgrade. You don’t have to talk to anybody and the whole pick up process takes less than 10 minutes. In your profile you already choose all your insurance selection and upload your driver license. Their app is fantastic and if you don’t have it next time you travel you should definitely get one. Plus all the specials they offered online you get your car at a bargain pulse have a fantastic experience. Strongly recommended!!!”

“Fox was super helpful! Incredibly smooth process in both picking up and returning the car. I actually forgot my phone in the car when returning it, and didn't realize until I was already at the terminal, so we went racing back on the shuttle, and Pamela and David were able to help immediately, find my phone, and I was able to get on the next shuttle and make my flight with no problem. They were super helpful, kind, and understanding!”

“Customer support is some of the best I've ever received in any industry. They always take care of me and then some. The location of these particular zipcars is great! Take the free shuttle from the airport to the car rental place and then follow the signs to the 3rd floor. Fast and easy! As a frequent zipper on a college student discount, I 10/10 recommend. It's the best under 21 car rental option in the nation --always there for me even when it seems nobody else is. I LOVE Zipcar.”

“I booked through the Hertz website. Check-in staff at the office/pick-up desk were friendly and helpful with the questions I had. Easy walk around the corner from the office to the lot - located on the same level. Found my 'zone'/bays of vehicles to choose from - there were two cars left to pick - it was 11pm at night. Chose my car, had it scanned at the parking lot gate on the way out by the staff, nice and quick and then I was off. Car was clean. In good mechanical condition other than one small issue, but nothing I couldn't put up with. Returned the car around 5pm after filling up on gas nearby. Must have been a quiet time as there were 3 staff available at the drop off zone of the parking lot. The staff member gave a quick check over of the vehicle while I unloaded my luggage. The staff then offered to print up or email my receipt and then directed me to the airport shuttle pick up point, which again was all on the same level - handy for those with luggage. (For $30US there is the option to pre-book and be driven by Hertz directly to the airport terminal at drop off, but I was happy with the shuttle bus service). No surprise additions to the bill after returning the car is always a relief too when hiring a rental. Overall I had pleasant experience with my rental from Hertz San Diego Airport.”

“Re: Advantage Rent a Car: DO NOT go to this car rental. I had a reservation with them and I went Nov 28th, 2017 approx 11:55 pm just before 12 am when they were about to close. The customer service rep guy name Nick (Bald Hispanic guy) got all my information credit card and driving license and prepared the contract and almost done. And then he was trying to sell me insurance. I told him that my credit card covers all the insurance. But he said by the state of California Law I must buy insurance. I told him many times that I visit California many many times but I never buy insurance because my credit card covers it but he kept saying that other agents and other car companies do not know the Law but he does. And again I refused to take insurance and all of a sudden he got up from his chair and said " oh your reservation has been canceled since it was for 12 pm not for 12 am and we don't have a car for you" and he walked away. I asked him that my reservation is canceled all of a sudden because I didn't buy insurance???? but he didn't listen and walked away. I can't believe that a car company may do this to their customers in the middle of the night. After putting all the information on the computer for almost 15 to 20 mins he said No car??? Because I didn't buy insurance??? I very highly recommend to not to go to this company at all. I went to Dollar rent a car next door and got the same deal on spot without online booking.”
