“The church is smaller than most churches, not too many members, but as Jesus states the path is narrow, the environment it an extremely loving, caring, and nurturing one. “Pastor Robert goes above and beyond to make himself available for the community. I first came because a friend told me that this church was so friendly. I was having a rough time of it one day and I remembered my friend's words. I saw there were cars in the parking lot one evening and pulled in. The door was open. I stepped inside and stayed for the service. My heart was so heavy. I couldn't stop crying. The woman next to me was so kind. Afterwards, the Pastor and Music Director greeted me. Pastor Robert asked me if there was anything they could do for me. I shook my head. I was still crying. He asked me at least 2 more times. I said "no". Just prayer is all I need. He gave me his cell phone # and told me to call anytime. He offered to sit down and talk with me each week and that as long as I needed someone to talk to, he'd be there. In all my decades (I'm 66), of attending several different kinds of churches, never had a pastor showed me so much caring. At one big church I attended off and on for several years, I asked the pastor if he would counsel me. He said no and that I should seek outside counsel from a psychologist or psychiatrist. He said it was not personal because they didn't offer even to sit down and talk, to anyone. I left feeling let down. It turned out that I found out later that pastor was asked to step down because one time he did offer counseling to a woman and ended up having a sexual relationship with her. Just as well that he refused to talk with me. Such a contrast when I stepped in the door of this Alpine Baptist church. I have trust issues so it's been hard for me to reach out for help. I am so grateful for how this church made me feel welcome.”

“This is the best church I have ever been to. The teaching is very solid and backed up Biblically. The apostle Paul talked about spiritual milk... well, at Barabbas Road Church, you get a meal. I have learned and grown so much in my faith since we started attending in 2014, and I never find myself checking the clock wanting to leave early from Sunday services or Tuesday night Theology and Apologetics classes. Sunday services are held at a different location, but you can show up here at 8 Sunday morning for inductive study prior to the service. It's a great spot with a good amount of room and a playroom for the kids to play while you're learning.”

“I have been going all my life. I don't understand some of these reviews that are hating on the camp. Every room is clean. If you say that your room is dirty, I am almost 100% sure that was made by you. I won't name anyone but someone said that they cram 12 kids into one small cabin. As I said before, I have been going there all my life and never once did I feel cramped in the cabins. The same person said that it must get hot in there but it doesn't. It also doesn't get freezing but if it does there's a heater. Anyway, great staff, scenery, and christian area.”
