  I stayed in the Monet room at Harper House for 3 months over the summer while carrying out a research stay at UCSF. It was the perfect base for me, I enjoyed the proximity to the Golden Gate park, shops on Haight street, the bike path "the wiggle", UCSF shuttle buses from Parnassus, and the N-line going into the city centre. The room is very quiet, facing an interior yard, and the bed is super comfy. I had everything I needed with the kitchenette and my own bathroom. I also really enjoyed relaxing on the terrace and in the yard. The owners, Ted and Leah, made me feel at home right from the beginning, were really accomodating, and gave me so many great recommendations for exploring the city. Highly recommend!

  I have stayed in the harper house for almost 3 months.
  I stayed in Picasso room and Renoir rooms that were so cozy and had a lot of natural light. The furniture was a little bit old but there was no problem to use. Rooms were clean because hosts cleaned up rooms regularly. If you want, you can share the diningroom with hosts.
  The location is so good. The house is near from UCSF, USF, Whole food market, and bus/muni stations. Considering those things, the room charge for a month is so reasonable.
  Hosts are so kind and lovely. They were so happy to share San Francisco life like dishes(so delicious!), christmas parties, beautiful scenery. Also, when I was sick, they really cared and helped me. I wasn't lonely because of them and I can't forget beautiful time that I spent in the house.
