“Best and coincidentally the cheapest place to store wine in SF”

“The Inn at the Presidio was a perfect place to stay. The Presidio itself is beautiful and calm, you kind of forget about the busy streets of SF whenever you are here. But the Inn is worth every single dollar. The Deluxe King room on the 3rd floor was perfectly sized and extremely comfortable. The decor is simple but definitely feels perfect for the Presidio itself. The fact that we could open the windows and let the breeze come through the entire room, or turn on the fireplace if we got a little cold, was a wonderful addition. The more private feeling of parking was wonderful, too. Every person, even the wonderful women of housekeeping, that we have encountered has been so incredibly warm to us. It is just the right size to not feel like you are staying on top of another guest but small enough that the service feels personal. Most definitely will make this our go to place to stay the next time we come back to San Francisco.”
Address: Sand Ladder, San Francisco, CA 94129, USA
“The Sand Ladder is a relatively steep hike through sand down to the beautiful beach below. It is gorgeous with views of the Pacific the whole way down. Be aware, however, that you will probably need to hike back up, so plan accordingly as it is made almost entirely of sand lined with wooden pillars and thick wire. Some of the wooden "steps" are loose and easily dislodged as well. So tread carefully. Otherwise, it was a beautiful hike down to the beach with spectacular views of the ocean, Golden Gate Bridge, and surrounding area. Lastly, I would like to warn that it is a nude beach, although unmarked, especially towards the northern end. So be aware of this when planning your hike. Otherwise, it was wonderful and completely worth the hike! (There is limited parking at the top as well.)”

“It seems strange to review a place like this... The grounds are immaculately kept and the sweeping lines of white head stones receding into the distance backed by dark trees and surrounded by green lawns are magestic as well as sad. They remind us of the futility of war. The thousands of lives lost giving service to their nation. Definitely worth a visit for a moment of quiet reflection.”

“The great outdoors in the middle of the city. Super convenient, clean bathrooms and you can order pizza if the cookout is a fail. Hike down to Marshall Beach in the morning and catch a glorious sunset from Immigrant Outlook in the evening.”

“The Presidio Officer’s Club is a nice building rich in history (few people working there have any clue) and it has a little Mexican restaurant. I recommend participating in one of the San Francisco City Guides tours if you’re interested in learning more about the Presidio. The tours are free and depending on the guide you get, they are great.”

“This was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon hiking with my best friend. We went on a Saturday afternoon in September. The sun was blazing which made it slightly uncomfortable, but we made it to one of the peaks in under an hour. At the trails beginning there are pretty nice public restrooms and water fountains. There is also a wonderful view and tons of picnic tables around there. When we were leaving there was a wedding happening next to this large old house at the beginning of the trail. I suggest you bring lots of water and good shoes.”

“It is a beautiful place. I attended a Google Local Guides event here in October 2017. I love the view. We had lunch on the grass at the entrance. It was quiet and cool.”

“My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our 1/2-day tour of San Francisco and Alcatraz with our tour guide Mary. This private custom tour was a great introduction to the city by the bay and was totally customized to our wishes and family needs. We really saw all of the beauty and diversity of the city. Our guide Mary deserves a 5-star rating for this trip and all the way. She was friendly, knowledgeable and a great driver. The SUV is luxurious, comfortable and soft drinks were offered. Our family had a wonderful time during the tour and highly recommend Golden Horizon travel for other customers and visitors . We would definitely request Mary on our next tour):-”

“I had a wonderful experience alongside thirteen others who were in my group tour of silicon valley and San Francisco in May 2017. Golden Horizon Tours is a well organised group. It was nice to see how promptly I got their attention and response each time I contacted them. They took their time to offer all the information required to make the best decision for my group tour. Their tour guides are very seasoned professionals and were very helpful and friendly to the point of taking photos of my group and sending to us via mail after we were long gone. I will gladly recommend those seeking the services of a tour agency to feel confident enough to engage the services of Golden Horizon Tours. They are simply the best. Ernest.”

“A beautiful, peaceful, serene, magical, and memorable park. I absolutely love it here. Granted, I may not be playing at the playground so much anymore but, I still do go down the rock slide occasionally and swing on the swingset. I love taking a good book with me and sitting down on the sand by the lake water. It is soooo gorgeous and I love that it is secluded and quiet a majority of the time. This is one of my most favorite and magical places to be.”
