“Friend works here and says it's cool. It was a little messy on outside with trash but unavoidable in this area. Signs were posted to help anyone trying to go there such as hours and phone etc.”

“Presidio Park is a beautiful, free place to enjoy the views of San Francisco. There is ample places to have a picnic, walk around or just sit on the grass. I highly recommend visiting the park on a clear day.”

“Great place to hang out at under a canopy tent by the river but water is super cold & swift... dipping your feet to cool off is a must though & get there early, it gets super packed early in the a.m.”

“This park is amazing. Fresh cute grass, huge play area for the dogs to run in. Lots of benches to sit on while you watch your dog run with the other dogs. The only issue I have is that my dog is disabled and going down the steep hill to get to the dog park is tough for him. If there was another route to take him from the recreation building entrance to the park, it would be helpful. Outside of that, it's definitely one of the best dog parks I've ever been to.”

“The views of Alcatraz are stellar. The paths are well maintained, and wander through several biomes making for an exciting walk. Find shade when it gets too warm and sun when it's chilly. A perfect spot for running, hiking, or nature walking. Expect to see red tail hawks. There is 4 hour parking, and a bathroom across the parking lot to the west in the golf course club. Just enter the main doors and make an immediate left. The only drawback is that there are many dog walkers who sometimes don't keep the dogs under control. I've been jumped on more times than I can count. Lost a good pair of leggings to one zealously friendly mutt.”

“Gift shop attached the Lookout Café. Nice selection of local goods, books and the obligatory post cards. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area with tips for routes to take (as I had a bike). There's some extra historical information tucked in the alcoves of the windows which is worth a read. Plus a couple of discounts were to be had in store too.”

“Awesome place for a grand view. Historical placards abound, if you want to get your history on (it has some very interesting things to share). Tons of trails either pass through, start, or end around this area. The hiking is on point! Bike trails and paths aplenty for cruising down or thigh-blasting up. Did I mention the view?”

“I would not call it a "botanical garden" since it is just flower beds. The main detail there is a windmill. Tulips are great though.”

“If you're looking for a paved coastline hike or a walk in the sand, this place is for you. The pathway from the street has a long stretch of walkway that you can keep your feet and shoes sand free and opens up to the beach with a good amount of distance between the walkway stairs and the waterline (depending on time of year). It's beautiful no matter where you are walking and the sunset is hard to beat. Just be careful crossing the street to the walkway as traffic is fast. Use the crosswalks please.”

“Awesome hiking trail!!! I so enjoyed it and all of the beautiful views. I appreciate how the parks and natural areas are being taken care of. It was definitely a workout and some of the cliffs are steep so be careful!”

“Moderately easy 1.5 mile trail hugs the coastline. Well marked, wide, groomed. Visitors center with food, beverages and restrooms. Easy public transportation from Union Square, Financial District. A lovely respite from the generally urban experience of SF. Also very close to the Legion of Honor museum. A well curated, medium sized collection of classical art. Fine collection of Degas sculptures.”

“As the puppy training classes go, this is definitely a good place . My only other point of reference would be ASPCA which I and my older Schipperke attended and I'd recommend both places somewhat as equally good. However, Smarty Pup's training space is much smaller and a tad claustrophobic for my Schipperke's palate. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff and cleanliness are obvious and if your pup doesn't mind confined space it's a good place to start. All that said regarding very limited space the place has , there are twice as many dogs in class then ASPCA. Our current class has over a dozen pups.”
