(October 16, 2018, 5:56 pm)Quaint, secluded, beautiful campground tucked into a small valley along Pescadero Creek with towering redwoods. One of my new favorites for California camping.
Campsites are generally pretty roomy and private. Picnic tables, food storage box and fire ring are all provided. Flush toilets, dish washing station and coin-op showers are a short walk away from most sites. Potable water is also available between sites.
The road in is narrow and slow. Bring all the food/drink you need, it’s pretty secluded due to the access road. The camp host sells firewood if needed.
There is a ranger station building that offers a few snack type foods, as well as some souvenirs. Inside also is a small natural history museum featuring local animals and plant life.
There are several hiking trails within the park itself, as well as many a short drive away. We enjoyed two hikes and found them to be a great way to enjoy the beautiful surrounding redwood forest. -

(September 7, 2018, 9:54 pm)First time at this park and I really enjoyed it! It has a lot of camping sites as well as variety of trails from easy to more moderate. It's a place for the whole family. There is a $10 per car which is paid at the visitor center. I felt the map was not as clear as other park maps when it comes to highlighting trails etc.
