Dosa Point

The place is fine. A small eatery without much of ambience there. The servers aren't quite trained and their English and communication is just passable.

The mex veg uttapam was slightly undone. They give a small amount of chutney and when asked for more they give another tiny amount. I felt that Madras cafe wins in this regard.

The filter coffee was good but not strong. They add a service tax already but that is not obvious when they show you just the final bill amount. I feel that I paid tip for no reason then.

This is one of those eateries which despite not attracting much attention to a passerby, makes really good food. Being an Indian myselfcontinually trying the ever increasing Indian food options in and around Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Mountain View area, this place does stand out for it's authenticity, price and non-fuss. While seating is limited and seems to have been an issue with several other visitors here, I believe they look forward to serving as a to-go restaurant primarily. I've tried their Goat Dosa, Gongura Dosa, Paneer Dosa and Goat Sukka, all of which I would definitely re-order again. I would though caution against their spice levels which typically tends to be a bit on the stronger end. In short, I currently consider it to be kind of a dearing home-like food place and would definitely recommend it to Indians and others alike!

Was able to order & get our food within 15 minutes. Take-out only, no dine-in. Not really much of a seating situation available; there were a few dirty chairs outside, but nothing appealing. The food, however, was delicious. Ordered the Paneer butter masala and the Garlic & cheese dosa. We also unexpectedly got some kind of rice, a vegetable soup, and tomato chutney & a creamy raita-ish dipping sauce. Great, strong flavors. Quite a lot of food. Good value for the price. A few dishes were on the oily side and the raita was a bit separated, but overall very good.

We ordered takeout from here recently. Food was generally tasty and of good quality, but felt heavy because of liberal use of oils and spices.
The Paneer Dosa was the best dish from the order, flavorful and quite filling. Chicken Sukka & Baghara Baingan were very good. Chana Masala & Chicken 65 were ok. Paneer Butter Masala was quite plain.
