“Updated May 2022: Not to be dramatic, but Maricela is a bone-fide Goddess of the Salon. This is my second time getting my hair colored with her, first time getting a cut, and it looks so stinking cute I can’t get over myself. She gave me a really cute graduated fade from shaven on one side to sternum-length on the other, and managed to get my hair to take to my favorite light color despite my hair being quite dark. She is friendly and easy to talk to, but also receptive when I need to get work done or just snooze a little. I’m really lucky to have ended up in her care 💕 I had a complicated *and* vague last-minute request (unusual asymmetrical cut, balayage color for the first time on dark hair, and I didn't know clearly what I wanted). Also needed this done in less than 48 hours. Bless Karen's heart, she found the time to see me despite my own rigid schedule and made this experience worth emerging from my 14-month cocoon. Karen is thorough, knowledgeable, and artistic; she took the time to really understand and help me figure out what I wanted, as well as walk me through the education piece. Her reparative conditioning routine included a massage which gave me a break first break from a two-day headache (and I hear this was the abridged massage, so I look forward to the post-covid version!). I knew getting my hair done is a form of pampering, but this time *actually* felt like that self-care treat I've needed. Karen got my hair to my signature color and really understood and delivered the hair shape I wanted and had been waiting for. This was the best way to return to a salon after so many months shut inside and it's reminded me what I enjoy about getting my hair done. THANK YOU Karen for the epic cut / color / style!”

“I came here to try out some silk lash extensions ahead of my wedding. I saw extensions on friends and loved the look, so low-maintenance moi wanted to give the mascara a break and dive head-first into longer lashes. I could not have been happier with the service. Phil took my appointment via email. Susan took great care of me when applying the lashes. I was given a sheet of instructions to take home with me that detailed the maintenance of the lashes. I will be coming back for more! Thanks Susan, Phil & the Yweight Spa staff. Notes: 1. Full-set lash application took one hour 2. They let me have a bottle of water from their cooler ahead of my service 3. I wore glasses, but was told that contacts were fine, even preferable - the glue is gentle but the fumes may burn a little when you open your eyes, not badly - less than when you cut onions - wearing contacts can prevent some of this. 4. The spa is walking distance from the Hillsdale Caltrain”

“Fairly decent place. Although they do open a little bit later. I got there around 9:50 or so and I had to wait like until 11:00 a.m. till they opened in the parking lot. Kind of disappointed a little bit because of that. They could have at least offered me a table so I could do my computer work at the table before they opened. I would also recommend that they at least serve coffee if they don't serve anything else in the morning. I was looking for a seat with a outlet so I can plug my laptop in. They did help me find a seat with those requirements which was a plus. They do have restrooms freely available and plenty of seating. The menu is a bit small. They don't really have any kind of breakfast menu at all. This is more of a sandwich or burger place. Be there for lunch or dinner. Ample condiments though, they all come in caddies. The waiters usually come around to pour you extra coffee. I will say that the food is pretty good. I ordered a burger medium with fries. This is one of the only places that does Frie's right. The vegetables were pretty fresh on the burger. The meat was cooked correctly. Can't really say anything bad about the food at all. The cost is what you expect, slightly more premium than McDonald's, but cheaper than other comparable places. I would say this place met my expectations but did not exactly wow me. That being said, I would probably come here again for lunch next time I'm in the area.”
