“Finding the right preschool for our family was challenging. We wanted our children to learn through play - to discover more about the world around them in meaningful out-of-the-box ways - not through sitting at a desk or worksheets. We want(ed) them to be taught respectful conflict resolution skills, responsibility and self-expression. I thought that I would need to sacrifice these standards when I went back to work because so many preschools we visited seemed more like elementary school than true developmentally-based preschools. My work schedule was increasing as our children got older so I needed flexible care- some long days, some short days, some weeks different than others. Campbell Child Development Center met and exceeded our expectations. Every time I popped in (they have an open-door policy), my children were fully engaged in creative play. When my children graduated from CCDC 3 years later, we walked away with a 2-inch portfolio of their developmental progress since their arrival - literally a scrapbook of their growth on every level. The principles, language and skills that they taught our family are still used every day in our home. Our children still ask to go back and visit (now 8 and 10 years old) and we remain close with many of the families, teachers and staff. Do yourself a favor and take a tour of the preschool. Be prepared to be impressed. ”

“Our daughter has been going to Home Away From Home Preschool since August of 2011, and we couldn’t be happier with the choice we made to place her there. When we went to go visit the preschool, the thing that stuck out to us was how happy and excited all of the children were. Ms. Tanya is a wonderful teacher who cares about each of the children. She provides excellent care with stimulating activities, art projects, and ample structured learning time. Ms. Tanya has clear expectations for the children. Miss Tawny is also excellent. She is great with the children and my daughter loves them both! My daughter brings home many art projects that she has done herself, which ties in with a monthly theme Ms. Tanya has. Another thing that is really helpful is the daily reports Ms. Tanya does. They let me know how my child ate that day, how she slept, and what they learned. The daycare itself is child-centered with a huge learning and playing area inside, and 3 outside play areas for the children. One thing I really like about Ms. Tanya’s is that the children get lots of outdoor time to play. I cannot say enough good things about Home Away From Home Preschool. We feel so lucky to have our daughter there. ”

“My children have attended the Japanese/English program at Springbridge since Preschool, they are now Kindergartners. Springbridge has a dynamic approach toward learning. This is fun and naturally fuels enthusiasm toward learning. A model Springbridge uses for introducing and instilling a core set of values and disciplines is to have students work with the grade level ahead of them. You can imagine the ease in transitioning to the next level this affords the students. Entering the next grade, they carry on the work already made familiar. This guidance has a sort of organic progression as the students know and look forward to showing the same care to their younger school mates. We find the curriculum well-rounded and homework super helpful. Our children look forward to doing their homework. Yes, to get it out of the way but I love seeing them take initiative. Outside the regular courses, Springbridge offers after-school classes. Our children are now learning Mandarin, chess, piano, judo and even hula. They love it. It gives them exposure to other cultures and they interact with their friends through different mediums. Very healthy.”
