Since it's going to be a dragon year, I thought to celebrate it in the traditional way. Reservation highly recommended. I came here with my friend and ordered on the phone and a robot came and delivered the food for us on our table. Fully automated experience was interesting. The robot in a very cute, speaking in kids voice in Mandarin. The atmosphere is very traditional northern Chinese. It was nice, not too crowded at least when we reached here at noon. Since everything is managed by a robot you don't have to give any tips . Though if you need anything there are people who will come to you. I really enjoyed the authentic peking duck, with spring onion, cucumber and sweet bean sauce with thin crepes rolled around the fillings - the whole duck comes in two plates, condiments and soup. 12 pieces of crepes which isn't going to be enough so we ordered another plate. Then napa cabbage with vinegar, duck soup, little lamb skewers, and sweet bread for dessert. While we were dining they served soup dumplings on the house, which was a very nice gesture. Overall, I enjoyed the whole experience. You got to know the dishes and for that you need to have a friend who is actually from China. It is an expensive one if you order peking duck. My first time here and would love to try their other dishes too.
Robot delivery service! So no tip is required. However the price is sneakily hidden in the dish price.
Hands down for the food varieties here. Many authentic Beijing food are on the list. It was a pity we didn’t get to try the roasted duck.
The meat pie we ordered was ok since I personally don’t get used to so many green peppers inside. Fish with Sour pickled cabbage soup was good, I wish they could use better quality fish meat though. We also get the meat ball soup, flavorful. And skews were very flavorful. Might need to drink a lot of water afterwards.
Overall I think the cook knows cooking and all dishes are very flavorful.
An interesting experience in a fully automated restaurant: scan to order, robot delivered utensils, drinks and dishes, with the exception of hot soup, which was served by a waiter, check out and pay at the counter. Thus no tips are needed. Roasted duck was pretty good, the roasted pig feet was really yummy, fun decoration that gives a Peking Hutong feel.
The Peking duck is on spot. They give you 12 pancake but really it’s not enough to cover all the meat and crispy skin they give you. It’s very good but you have to order ahead. Other thing to get is the lychee shrimp. Great flavor and cook perfectly. Ordering is easy too cause all on your phone and a robot deliver it.
