West Valley Chinese Language School 西谷中文學校

Excellent school for learning the Chinese language (both Cantonese and Mandarin). The school provides not only a great environment for Chinese learning but also a community that nurtures a sense of belonging for students, teachers and parents. My son graduated from West Valley Chinese Language School a few years ago! It had been a wonderful journey for my son and myself.

My son graduated from the school, I am so proud that the persistence pays off. He passed the AP Chinese test this June, and got a 5. What set the school apart is the teacher dedication, the student council and the scholarship program.

This school has very experienced teachers who has worked at the school for many years. I have seen teachers in other school kept changing. The teacher to student ratio was low so the kids can get some attention.

Teachers are experienced and patient to children. A group of passionate and highly committed parents form the school board which runs the school very well. The curriculum has been progressively improving over years. This is the 4th year for my daughter in the school - She really enjoys learning Chinese (reading, writing and listening) there.

This non-profit school has been operating for over 50 years, very well run by the parents volunteers and dedicated teachers. It is the only Cantonese school i can find in the Cupertino and Saratoga area. Besides Cantonese, they teach some Mandarin too. It has AP class and scholarship which is a big plus. My 3 kids graduated from there. Highly recommend it.
