The DBT Center of Silicon Valley has changed my life for the better. When I started, I was in a horrible place with my trauma and BPD. DBT has opened my eyes to the possibility of a life not controlled by my emotions or by toxic relationships. This program gives you all the tools to learn and succeed, but you need to really work the program and put the time in. The therapists are all extremely compassionate and knowledged, and they do everything they can to make individual/group sessions as informative, inclusive, and safe as possible. It is expensive, but if your insurance allows it, you can submit for a partial or full reimbursement of services and the DBT center will provide you all of the documentation to do so. I finished my first round of DBT late last year and plan to go back for their trauma program sometime this year. I seriously could not recommend this program enough.

comprehensive DBT is generally not covered by insurance, it is a lot of hard work, and it takes a long time. Be prepared to commit 5 - 6 hours a week for at least 6 months to this process. This DBT center is wonderful. Usually 1 hr/week of individual therapy, group therapy 2 hrs/week, plus adequate time to complete homework assignments and daily diary cards. My therapist was very well trained for DBT as were the group therapists. The process was painstaking but with wonderful rewards if you can put your skills to use. I’m still practicing. Also $$$$.
