Artisan Wine & Spirits

Artisan has long been my favorite wine store in the bay because of the amazing quality and variety of their selection. But what prompted me to write this review was the phenomenal customer service from David on my most recent trip. I had a goal to learn more about French wine growing regions and wanted to assemble a case within a target budget to help with that goal. Despite the store being busy with multiple tasting events, David enthusiastically leaped up to help with our activity. The thought he put into each recommendation, the explanations he gave of what and why, and how well he met the objective and budget exceeded any expectations I had going in. Just a fantastic experience - David and the team really know their wine and are passionate about helping customers.

A sort of "hidden" store because it's not easily noticeable from the street, but you'd be doing yourself a favor if you stopped by and checked them out. They have an excellent selection of wines from all over the world, including some hard-to-find and some very high-end ones. They also have a nice selection of California wines. Nicely organized into separate rooms, for easy browsing. Highly recommended.

Outstanding service and selection. Visited for the first time during a brief trip to Mountain View after calling to confirm that the wine I wanted was in stock. Very friendly and took time recommending and describing other wines so that I could choose an extra, new bottle, which I was very pleased with. Description was perfect. Packaged the bottles so they made it safely home checked in the plane.

Really great place to come for wine! They know their stuff. Super friendly staff always willing to share knowledge about wines.

We used to come pre-pandemic for the tastings, but they're haven't resumed yet. Wines all the way from 7 to $8 all the way up. Something for everybody!

Don't be afraid of your total newbie, they will definitely help you part with your money...
