(May 23, 2018, 7:57 pm)We had a silk rug that was fraying, and had been improperly cleaned years ago. Several places we took it to wanted to either charge us an arm and a leg, or suggested we would be better of buying a replacement rug. One suggested that the rug was probably an imitation synthetic (I know for sure it isn't).
Javed Chaudhary at the Rug Center was able to give us an accurate assessment of the value of the rug, and a few different options for repairing, restoring and cleaning it. We were very happy with the timeliness and the quality of the repairs and cleaning, and the cost was lower than all the other places we had visited.
