When I needed to sell a rental house due to my parent's death, Ernesto Martinez was recommended by a family friend. The relationship had to start over the phone since I was on the opposite side of the country with a 3 hour time difference. Being out of state and having a limited amount of time in the area, I needed to pre-arrange the improvements and the sale. In spite of all the complications, Ernie made it work.

Besides being a great realtor, Ernie is also a remodeling manager. He helped me with both workers and materials throughout the process. Ernie is caring and considerate of his clients, and knows where to get the best deals on materials. Ernie always went over and above what he had to, and was always available when I had a question (and I had a lot!).

As soon as the tenant was out, Ernie drove by the house to check on it and saw water running down the driveway and into the street. While investigating that (washer hookups in the garage), he discovered that the door from the garage to the backyard was destroyed and the locks were broken. He immediately got a new door and locks and pulled 2 workers off another project to repair everything and secure the house. Third item was a huge mountain of trash the tenants left by the street. The wind was scattering it, so the workers stayed late and dragged all the trash into the empty garage. And that was just the first day!

Ernie helped me get a dumpster, and people to clean up from the tenants. When the dumpster was too full, he even hauled trash away in his own truck and trailer. He arranged the home and roof inspections, replaced flooring and baseboards, repaired plumbing damages, painted/textured, replaced electrical outlets, switches, lights, smoke detectors, and a stove and hood. He would have done counters and cabinets, but I ran out of time.

Here we are, 2 months after closing, and Ernie is still helping me tie up loose ends on the property, regarding my parent's estate. This has nothing to do with his official duties as the realtor. Talk about above and beyond! I am so grateful to have his expertise to help me along.

Usually if something is "too good to be true" it's a bad thing. But Ernie really was! He treated me like family, looking out for me the whole way. Knowing that I was managing my parent's estate, he shielded me from a lot of the daily stress of selling. Even when the opposing realtor was rude and verbally abusive, Ernie kept his cool. He always kept me informed, and asked me how I wanted to proceed. He was never pushy or demanding in any way. He saved me so much grief - I'll never be able to repay him enough for that.
