Lauren- Where do I begin! Almost two years ago we started my hair journey together, & I truly don’t know where to start. She is a unicorn, dubbed now my hair fairy, & I couldn’t ever be more grateful that I came across her. From her vibe, to her skills, to her salon, all absolute perfection. She is the most personable hair stylist I’ve ever met, & always so positive. She didn’t get the nickname hair fairy easily either; she took my thick, course, curly brown hair and turned it into a blonde bombshell at first try. With that being said I have to add she did it delicately & used her knowledge && expertise in doing it the right way. Additionally, she takes the time to get to know you. Makes sure she knows what products you’re using to ensure you’re taking the best possible care of your hair. I admire the fact that she is truly passionate about her profession, you feel it, see it && know it by being in her salon. I also think it’s amazing she makes it a point to branch out & continuously further her knowledge && hair education. She is humble, honest, trustworthy & fun to be around. Forever thankful I get to sit in her chair!!

The Pandemic has created a whole new energy, full of insecurities, frustration and acceptance...yet, in the realm of beautology its a entire mood of self expression. Lauren has created a safe space for us to simply relax and enjoy the process of hairstyling. Let me get a bit more comfortable here, my hair is aging and my gray although a bit difficult to accept has permanently moved in. Its not the perfect gray head you see on social media. Mine is wild, corse and patchy. Lauren is a master at color and was able to perfectly blended my gray with a natural silver to highlight my face so seeming-less it blends youthfully. How incredible is that! She provided 1:1 direct connection, taking all the covid precautions necessary. Thank you Lauren for staying and keeping us all safe! Educated me on color and beauty and guess what else— she let my Mestizó curls be part of my signature look rather than the de-ethnicization many of us experience at certain salons. She embraced my curls and twilled each one with patience to help give it balance and form. Honestly get yourself a hairstylist with a soul for natural beauty that will help you either stand in or out of the masses according to your own personal hair style, and not theirs. Most importantly don’t forget to tip your beauty partners. If they succeed at what they do best, so will you at feeling your best.
