I should have just overridden my insurance company and come here first.
Another place took the car apart and THEN told me it would be a month before they could fix it.
I’d had a great experience at another Fix Auto location, so I called Fix Auto South San Jose and explained the problem. They said that they weren’t sure exactly how long it would take — probably two weeks to get everything— but they definitely wouldn’t take a month to even start!
I had the car towed to Fix Auto and Francisco just made all the problems go away. Still took a week and a bit because of parts, but but they called around and sourced them so I could get the car back early.
We made the call to not replace one part: the only one available in the continental US was in Michigan, and would take another week or more to arrive. Francisco kept me informed, laid out the tradeoffs, and made everything go as fast as possible.
If you need body work, just go here and save yourself a lot of stress!
We took our car to them after an accident that required estimation, fixes etc. Fabian and others at the shop were very helpful, professional and nice people. Their whole crew all work together to quickly respond. They also have coffee, water in the waiting area.
We didn't know if they work with insurance company to push the paperwork but they do. They were persistently on the phone to get hold of the adjustors (STATE FARM) and the process was smooth.
Fabian did a walkthru with us to mark areas identified as damaged etc. We just handed over the key and drove back home.
Actually they can also help you arrange rental car and get you going!!
