“Surprisingly delightful off the beaten path watering hole. Stopped by on the recommendation of a friend—stayed for the refreshingly smooth Natural Light and always tasty Trader Joe’s snacks. Definitely a must-visit for any trip to Rains, CA.”

“This is my favorite studio in the area. The teachers have 13 seasons of experience, so they are really well informed. The teaching style is a bit unconventional as it is all done on a computer screen via Criminal Minds reruns, but the internet is good so the classes stream through well. The ambiance is a little strange as the lessons are held on the kitchen island and people are usually wearing felt onesies instead of other yoga attire, but it really adds an extra element of balance and concentration practice. There are always good snacks available for after class — usually Brie and fig jam. All in all, this is the place to go for a top tier yoga experience.””

“Going up this hill to get home has given me some pretty ripped calves. House is pretty nice too. Only slightly closer to main campus than the minor planet it’s named after.”

“Oh my! Favorite nightclub in town. The best lights from the lighting store.”

“This is one of the nicest parks tucked away with very few crowds. Great for families with small children. There is a nice play structure with monkey bars, swings, and slides. A large grassy area is fun for running and playing ball. The park is nestled in an area owned by Stanford University. That might be why it's such a quiet park. I went here recently to meet a family for a photo session. It was a great place with a variety of backdrops for fun portraits. Just follow Google maps and be sure to park in a designated area because many streets are for home owners only. Again, if you're looking for a nice, low-foot-traffic park, this could be the one!”

“Nice hike. Do the whole loop. We were told by park officer that in weekends, it's okay to park in Standford parking as finding parking is difficult otherwise.”
