Having worked with multiple trainers in the past, I understand how difficult it is to find a trainer who understands a VEGETARIAN body well. Im glad to have found a trainer like TJ, who agreed to “educate” me through this fitness journey over just “training” me towards the goals that I wanted to achieve. TJ is a super practical trainer who believes that no one continues to train forever. His approach to training is based on the fact that his clients SHOULD know WHY they are doing a certain exercise, HOW important nutrition and supplementation are adjacent to the training we do at the gym while helping you manage YOUR OWN nutrition to achieve your goals while he tracks your progress - helping you make modifications as needed. In doing so, he believes in his clients LONG TERM success and the fact that they should eventually LEARN how to maintain their own fitness goals. Throughout this “fitness journey” I have taken on with TJ, his approach to training has made me completely trust the “process” and make sure I don’t freak out over having cheat meal once in a while. While putting me through this test, he has made me believe that CONSISTENCY OVER PERFECTION is key. In addition, its hard to find a trainer who is super busy, yet cares 24 * 7 for his clients success and at the same time always AVAILABLE and RESPONSIVE even outside of the time spent with him at the gym. For TJ, his clients are his family and I am glad to have found a trainer and more importantly a friend in TJ over the time I’ve spent training with him at the gym. I would definitely recommend TJ to anyone looking to find an awesome trainer! :)
I've been working with TJ the last 3 years and its been such and amazing experience! He's super knowledgeable, motivating and listens to your goals. I first started working with TJ when I wanted to take my fitness to a new level and try powerlifting. Not only did he teach me proper form, he helped me realize levels of strength that I never knew I had! I recently completed his online coaching program, and it was a game changer. In 14 weeks, I cut 22lbs and I've never been happier about how I look and feel in my own skin. TJ provides the perfect amount of motivation and accountability to see results, its almost like having a person following you around a slapping a pizza out of your hand each time you were tempted. He's amazing support and I'm excited to continue working with him and get leaner and stronger.
TJ has been fantastic. He's very responsive to my needs for program modification due to injury and age, and he's always adding new exercises and accessory lifts to keep the program interesting.
With a personal service like fitness training, I think it's important to understand that different trainers have different specialties and interests, and each client has their own interests and goals. Personally I'm looking to build strength in classic power lifting, while staying as injury free as possible. (Anyone who's weightlifted or done other sports for multiple years knows that injuries will happen eventually, but with proper rest and rehab almost all injuries are recoverable and we can eventually be stronger than before.)
TJ works me as hard as I'm willing to work, but also understands the importance of rest and occasional cheat days. Not all trainers work for all clients, but TJ works great for me, and so far TJ meets and exceeds my expectations.
TJ is amazing trainer, has a good amount of knowledge in nutrition, strength training and fun to work with. He keeps track of how much you lift and constantly pushes boundary to get more out of you. He is very attentive and great at following up, I work with TJ twice a week and look forward to my workouts. From the beginning TJ very was responsive and easy going. If you are looking for personal trainer, look no further and hire him. I highly recommend him.
My husband and I started training with TJ 6 months ago and it was the best decision we've made in our fitness journey! As a couple, we've both tried various gym memberships, boot camps, dieting challenges, and fitness plans. You name it! and while it worked for a short while, the sustainability of working out never stuck and we couldn't seem to find a program we loved. Since working with TJ, we've been so happy and satisfied with the personal training plan he's created for us and we appreciate his philosophy on fitness and nutrition. Not only are we both excited about working out now, but we've both seen results and feel stronger than ever thanks to TJ! A personal touch that we enjoy is that at the beginning of each training session, TJ will ask us to recall a high from our week and think about what went well. I appreciate this positive approach since it keeps me motivated and doesn't make me feel bad if I didn't hit a certain target. He reminds me that progress over perfection is what matters most and it's helped me more than ever. TJ is professional, supportive, fun and caring! All aspects you'd want in a personal trainer.
