“We had to stop at the pizza spot that was in the movie chasing mavericks ! What a cool joint . You just line up behind the surfers coming from the beach to grab a slice . The slices are huge !! I don’t know why this place has any bad reviews but if you want your pizza warmed up more just ask them to make it extra crispy or hotter - not a big deal . Our first slice was a little warm but our next two were hotter ! It’s delicious 🤤 and fast and easy ! Don’t miss this spot !! The Santa Barbara was our favorite . Juliet was also very good ! 👍”

“Great staff. Lots of shade available. Having a bar window available while you wait for your table was a HUGE hit. Offering breakfast items until close was another win. Fish and chips on point. Breakfast scramble (bacon) a great brunch option. Bloody Mary’s were worth it. View and vibe worth the wait. We’ll be back all summer.”

“Incredible Hawaiian BBQ! So happy that the locals told is about this place. They do the staples incredibly well. Service and food were awesome! We had the Shortribs and the Katsu. Also the Spam Musubi and the fresh Poki. So tasty. Parking sucks! Lol! But it's worth the walk down the street.”

“What a fun discovery here. My son picked this place for his graduation dinner and we ordered the blue corn tamales with shrimp and scallops. Delicious! Super filling as well. My husband had the shrimp tacos and said they were good, too. Wasn't impressed with the salsa, but everything else was great, as well as the service. We even saw a sea otter from the window while eating dinner.”

“No frills but so good! Bread and butter when you sit down, tasty drinks, fresh seafood and diner fare and feel. Alyssa (apologies if I spelt that wrong) was so sweet, offered to clean up the window seats so we could get the best view, very attentive. 10/10 will go back 🥰”

“Nice, comfortable atmosphere. Food looked great. The only thing was the wait to get the actual food was over 45 minutes and we barely saw our waitress while waiting for the food. We were left with a pitcher of coffee and it was strong and good but it would’ve been nice to have something to munch on while waiting an hour with just strong coffee. Food was great but was lukewarm upon arrival. Idk”

“This is MY Happy Place Restaurant. A wonderful 80's early 90's vibe and atmosphere. A melting pot filled to the brim of personalities and people. Such an eclectic lively bunch of Mexican food lovers. People don't just come here for the perfect view; the food is actually pretty good, too! My favorite employee is the Cute Blue Fish that greets you so happily by the front door.”

“I've been going to Batish's for years for reproduction of audio and visuals. The shop has grown immensely and now has many wonderful Indian gifts. I recently bought a round table cloth and I have had many compliments on it. I love it. Batish's sister and mother are lovely people also. Batish used to perform for the Bethany University music department when it was in Scotts Valley (closed in 2011). I'm so glad they are in our community.”

“Stopped by for some tacos, a burrito, and an horchata. I loved that they give you more than enough meat for what you pay for . The tacos had a lot of meat and were delicious. The burrito was also amazing and packed with meat. The one we got came with meat, cheese, sour cream, rice, beans, and Pico de Gallo. The horchata was also delicious. Definitely recommend them! (Pictures do not do the food justice)”

“This was our first time picking up breakfast burritos here. They were delicious and I highly recommend getting the barrel. I ordered 3 of them for the family. They were reasonably priced as well. For 1 large and 2 small burritos it was around $28. Parking was a little tricky as it's a busy area on east cliff. Cash only and I called ahead for pickup in 20 minutes. We will definitely be going back in the future.”

“A really popular and relatively affordable casual dining spot located on the long boardwalk. It’s manned by a number of friendly workers but you’re kind of on your own after you’ve placed your order - they have outdoor dining so you need to find your own seating and it can get quite crowded. You also have to wait in front of the counter so you’re there when your food is ready and they call out your name. Not much method to the madness but given the good, fresh tasty food, one can bear this minor discomfort. Coming to the food - They sell fresh seafood as well. The clam chowder is very popular and I checked with them to ensure it didn’t contain pork. It is quite delicious and served with crunchy saltines. For around six dollars you get a decent portion size. With this I recommend getting the fresh fish tacos - these are 3 pretty large doubled up taco wraps with a good mix of fresh pan fried fish, veggies, sauces and interestingly - apples! Have it with a squeeze of fresh lime and enjoy it with the ocean view. Finally, try the fish burger - which is a fried fish filet in a sesame burger bun with onions, lettuce and tomatoe - the lettuce looked a bit old but remove it and add some hot sauce and you’re good to go. They also give fries on the side. Portion sizes are generous!”

“My former boss sold her real estate company in 2016 and retired to Dallas, Texas with her new husband. She periodically does reunion breakfasts with her former staff and local friends in the Santa Cruz she loves so much. It was a group of about 20 people that the restaurant staff managed with exemplary service and speed. The Crow's Nest is ideal for this with its beautiful Yacht Harbor location, easy parking, and long time fine reputation as an iconic beach front restaurant. We all had a wonderful visit together and love the food and service.”

“T-Mobile Tuesday had a deal of free classic pepperoni or cheese pizza with any pizza of choice Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - 3 Meat Treat with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon was tasty with some saltiness and the melted cheese. They're extremely generous with the toppings and the crust is soft and fluffy as well. The classic pepperoni pizza was decent but not memorable. The crust is a bit drier and chewier Ambience: N/A - got food to go. Clean and brightly light. Service: 5/5 - when we walked in, the cashier asked for our name and stated that it was perfect timing as the pizza was just finished and brought out the pizzas almost immediately Value for price: 5/5 - great deal! Their pizzas outside of the classics is a bit more expensive compared to other pizza chains”
