This is the first time I have enjoyed going to a gym.
Friendly community, amazing instructors. Owners are fantastic.
If you have struggled with workouts before check out Ritual Ride. You get to go at your own pace and you get nothing but inspiring words from the staff.
Kudos Ritual Ride for keeping me and so many others moving and growing!
I love this little community! Amazing people and great workouts!
I like everything about Ritual Ride, friendly instructors and patrons, clean space, and a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere. The instructors are helpful and walk you through every aspect of the ride, from getting set up on the bike to how to use the bike controls and understand the display on your console. The profile of each ride is different, but the class usually starts with a warm-up followed by a functional threshold power (FTP) test; this calibrates your power meter to your specific level of fitness. What that means practically is that everyone in the class can follow along at their own pace, no matter their experience or fitness level; in other words, you aren’t competing with anyone but yourself. In addition, you always have full control of resistance settings on the bike, so you can make it as hard or as easy as you’d like that day. Large screens at the front of the room display the workout profile so you can see what’s coming up, which is really helpful for pacing your workout so you don’t burnout too soon; the instructor also guides you through each phase of the workout and clues you in to changes in intensity. Your power gauge displays your energy output as a percentage of your FTP (calibrated at the start of the ride); this allows you to adjust resistance or rpm to fine tune your workout and hit any goals you are aiming for. And all of this is synchronized with bumpin’ playlists to get you jazzed to work up a sweat; I remember one person commenting, “this music makes me feel like I’m in action movie on the bike.” It’s really motivating! Personally, I like to go all out, and the metrics provided by the power gauge have helped me focus on my goals and see improvements, both within a single ride and over time. After each ride, you receive a detailed ride summary including all those ride metrics (FTP, power output, rpm, etc). You would be hard pressed to find a better cardiovascular exercise that is low impact, builds strength and aerobic endurance. Over a 45 minute ride, I can burn close to 700 calories, and the strength I’ve gained in the studio has translated to stronger rides on the road, especially hard, steep climbs. Many thanks to Marissa & Dave, Ashley and Debbie. Y’all rock!
Ritual Ride is so much more than just a fitness studio, it’s a little community filled with truly amazing and motivational people. The owners, Marissa and Dave are committed to ensuring everyone who comes to RR has a positive and fun experience! All the spin instructors show up to class everyday with a smile on their face and an abundance of positive energy. I always leave class feeling refreshed and ready to tackle my day :) I highly recommend Ritual Ride to anyone looking to have a fun workout surrounded by positive and motivating individuals!
