“Edit: The people at the school aren't as bad as they were last year now, but room for improvement is definitely visible. The school is decent. The atmosphere, however, is terrible. Yes, I have made good friends at the school, but some of the students are terrible, both as workers, and as people. Some of the teachers have a variety of work, and that's a good thing; however, some don't, and it becomes boring. I do my work, and I've found more motivation to not do it in these recent months. Our "leaders" yell at a whole class or grade collectively. Instead of punishing those who deserve it, the entire group is punished. It's a good school academically, but speaking from four years of experience, the people are what make or break the school, and sometimes, it sucks. One former cadet described my entire grade as "impulsive", perhaps they wouldn't be so impulsive if the school was a bit more strict when it comes to behavior. Two years ago, no one really had noticeable problems with my grade. Instead, they only focus on how your outfit looks, not how you behave.”

“Our daughter loves her school! The Principle, V.P. ,staff and teachers are great! Every morning they dance before entering the class. The Principle, V.P. and teachers all are outside dancing. Mr Bennett is very involved with all his students and handles everyone with precise care. The Vice Principle is just as involved and even dresses as Captain America for all the kids. I love how happy the kids at this school are, polite and well educated. My daughters reading level has jumped up two levels just starting this school in a few months. EXCELLENT school!”

“I attended this school when I was 16 - so, I was terrible in high school I had all D's and F''s, I went from vanden to TEC when I turned 16, and I went to summer school.. i remember not having any motivation, but the teachers at Tec were so supportive and really encouraged me. I talked with the counselor and she told me at the beginning of the year, that i only need so many credits to graduate. She told me that if I earn every single credit that year, I could graduate by June ( : and I did !!! I turned in every single assignment and I did it. So proud of myself, I came to TEC behind in credits and then I ended up graduating high school a full year early! It's more one on one learning, which is what I needed. I felt as if vanden and vaca high were so crowded that the teachers at the regular high schools didn't give students like me a chance, they moved way too fast and did not care that their teaching styles were confusing they just kept moving through when I was stuck or confused at something-which caused me to become frustrated and wanting to give up. I'm now 21 and in college with a 4.0, I miss TEC. The one on one student-teacher relationship is very beneficial. 5/5 stars all the way.”
