“Have flown in and out of here (too) many times. Great service and bus service to/from the front doors of the terminal (subject to change as of 2015). Everything is within walking distance tho in summer it gets quite dry and HOT! The air museum is within a few blocks , as is the Windward Inn, of the terminal”

“Yolanda is a great resource. If you stop in for ideas, especially if you can't make the group tours, she will give you all the info you need to create your own trip. In case you miss her, sharing the info she gave us. Her recommended winery: Sterling Winery, ($35 for self guided winery sampling and tour, great views going up in an air tram). Best way to go to San Fran: Take the ferry from Vallejo to San Francisco at 10am on Sat/Sun, (try for Sat to make it to Farmers Market), parking $7 and one way ticket $15. We didn't have time for the jelly bean factory tour and oil and wine market nearby in Fairfield but will do it next time. Thanks Yolanda!”

“iNaturalist listed West County Hawk Watch as one of the best ways to see raptors in the Bay Area. I signed up for their Lynch Canyon and Sears Point raptor walks. Both walks were well attended by birders of all levels as well as some professional photographers. The guide does a great job of talking you through how he’s finding birds (“I heard an alarm call so now I’m scanning to see what’s causing these birds to alarm - maybe it’s a raptor”). You also get access to areas that aren’t always open to the public through these walks. Great way to see birds and learn more!”
