“We really enjoyed out stay!!!! We arrived late Thursday evening. Herb made it easy for us to gt to our room. We decided to stay this property because it was recommended by the bride and groom. The place is clean and quaint. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Lynette. Herb made breakfast Monday AM. Everything is made fresh with tender loving care. For our last night we dined in the restaurant. AWESOME homemade German food. Ingrid told us the recipe is her mother's recipe. Herb's and Ingrid's daughter is their Chef. Really enjoyed the goulash. Haven't had good goulash since the Brau Haus here in Chicago closed. Apple strudel was also AMAZING! Will go back to Monte Rio just to see Herb, Ingrid and Lynette and simply for the goulash.”

“Bartlett's is a trip back in time to the 50's with a small town market that has a bit of everything. All is good, it costs a bit more, and it is a good deal when you consider travel time and convenience. They are real down home here and polite and kind. The vegetables we looking OK, not a huge selection, but again enough to make a wonderful meal. A good time for all. Smile and enjoy you time travel. What Fun!”
