My mom & dad (90 & 85) moved into memory care facility in February 2022. My mom had some health issues we weren't fully aware of and she was placed on hospice, unfortunately she passed away. The Bristol staff, nurses, and chaplain took wonderful care of my mom and us. Their compassion for my mom and my family made it an easy choice when my dad had to be on hospice after recovering from COVID and needing more care as he gains his strength and mobility back. The nurses communicate with me each visit and treat my dad with care, compassion and above all dignity. I couldn't ask for anything more!

They also contacted me for everything that had to do with my Mom.

Amazing group of people. Heroes definitely work here! We had a very negative experience with another local Hospice company who continued to medicate Dad into a walking zombie state. When he had a stroke, their first concern was to tell us that if he is admitted to the hospital, he would be removed from hospice care. Bristol Hospice was nothing like that!!

Bristol Hospice was responsive, compassionate and had my Dad’s comfort and care front and center. Their assessment of Dad’s condition was exact. Based on their assessment, they said Dad’s death was emminate within 1-3 days. We were able to gather together around Dad knowing that he wasn’t suffering.

When Dad passed, they arrived before us. They comforted us, they made sure we were ok and they made all the calls to the mortuary to pick up Dad’s body. They washed him and made sure he was treated with dignity.

Bristol Hospice came in with referal from my Mothers doctor, we were unsure of how to accept this team, we did not believe our mother was dying but we were told hospice does not mean death all the time. Our first nurse Christine came explain in detail how Hospice works. She made us feel very comfortable about the whole program. Any medication or items my mother needed was delivered immediatly, we did not have to worry about one thing at all. I was called prior to every visit which was very comforting. We had visits for vitals and health check ups and 2 visits for bathing. Bristol was there at a drop of a bucket, when I called I got a call back immediatly. The last visit we had the nurse came to bathe my mother like the normal weekly schedule. That nurse noticed that my mothers breathing was not like normal so she suggessted to call the nurse and I did and she was there immediatly. She then told me my mother was transitioning. I thanked her so much for being honest, I had time to let our immediate family know and my mother passed with our family around her and I called the pastor who came to give her last prayer and my mother being religous I am sure that is what she waited for, The last nurse who came was to call the time of death and Bristol took care of calling the funeral home to pick up my mother, all I can say is I have never been more at peace with Bristol Hospice and thier team. Its always hard to have a family member pass especially a parent. I couldnt have asked for a better Hospice team to take care of my mother and our family with such love and compasion for all of us. Thank you again Bristol Hospice for making the Transition so peaceful for our whole family.
