All shop stop! It's so nice to have a place where you can see 2 different types of services.
Thankfully, I was able to squeeze an appointment in with my PCP the other day. The office now utilizes a text communicator with patients so Confirming, Cancelling or Rescheduling was available to me in written form. I was able to send a message to my provider prior to my visit so that he would have a list of items to go over with me during my visit, just in case I forget. That is a nice added feature. And prior to my visit, I was sent a reminder text of my appointment time.
The check in was a bit bewildering. I was told over the phone that because I am sick, I would need to check in at the South Entrance. That's no problem; I know where it is. However, the South Entrance back doors are locked (understandably as they don't want an overly crowded lobby of sickly patients who may be carrying a variety of germs) and there are notes posted on the door to 'Remain In Your Vehicle'. However, the posted letters lacked Check-In Instructions and an attendee to visually acknowledge my presence. So I called the main line, and unfortunately, it rolled to voicemail. After 10 minutes of self-debate, I just drove myself to the North Entrance and checked in there - where, not to my surprise, they sent me back to the South Entrance and inter-office called to give South Entrance advance notice. It was a small inconvenience; I just didn't want to miss my slot as I knew this appointment was squeezed in.
Back at the South Entrance, a friendly MA took my initial vitals (from my vehicle) and asked me to wait until the lobby was cleared of the current patient before inviting me in. No worries from me as I appreciate the privacy as well. My provider is attentive and the care for his patient is evident with his kind and efficient demeanor. I'm sure it helps him to be an informed patient, so be forthright with your symptoms when consulting with yours. I have recommended, and would again, recommend Dr. Jose Rodriguez and Del Puerto to others.
My prescription was sent over to my preferred pharmacy and I again received a text message from the office that reiterated the prescribed medication. My preferred pharmacy, CVS, also utilizes the texting feature, so they sent a message confirming what the doctor ordered.
What a breeze. I definitely would recommend Del Puerto Health Care on Keystone Parkway.
I give them a 10 rating. They always accomadate me because I'm not able to physically attend appointments. The staff is cordial, and professional.
Del Puerto has provided quality care my family of 9 for the past 10 years keep up the excellent service for the community Del Puerto!
I absolutely dread seeing a doctor; however, Del Puerto made the experience very pleasant. The staff was very courteous. I needed to be seen ASAP. They didn’t have any appointments for a couple of weeks, but they called me with a cancellation one week early, which was great. The doctor was very thorough. He listened very carefully to my concerns. It is obvious that he takes the practice of medicine very seriously. Although this was my first time seeing him, he diagnosed my problem and treated me appropriately. He also requested a follow up appointment in three months to check my cholesterol levels, which he was slightly concerned about. Overall, it was a great visit with awesome health care providers. This has become rare in today’s society!
