Vedanta Spiritual & Holistic Retreat

There aren’t words to describe how special this place is. You just have to experience it. But I’ll try.. the words that come to mind when I think of this place is quality, genuine, and loving people - Kristin has a calming yet fiercely loving and motherly spirit. Being around her energy was therapeutic on its own. The place is filled with history and healing powers. Surrounded by mountains in a complete circle. You get an authentic sage ceremony when you arrive, I felt the negativity slip away with every brush of her feather. The cabin is lovely and the food was impeccable. Quality you can see and taste. This place brings you back to the basics. To the simplicity of life and all its beautiful gifts. It’s hard enough to comprehend how to open your heart much less for me to repeat what I learned here, but Kristin does it effortlessly. This place is the real-deal. It brings you back to the connection you lost with Mother Earth. It brings you back Home, and that’s exactly how I felt, like I was Home. Thank you 🙏🏼 ♥️ 🧘🏻‍♀️

I came here with little expectations. However when there’s a spiritual retreat I have experienced some people who claim things they are not . I will say this was really relaxing and super insightful. I learned how to care for my self. Kristin is quite the ray of light she is knowledgeable and has such a calming energy . Kristin knows her craft . The facilities are posh with a sense of community. We also had an opportunity to do our own exploring of the area. I would recommend this retreat to all my friends and family who are seeking some spiritual guidance . The best thing I found is that all healing starts and ends with you . Kristin facilitates you into going within your self to find that inner healing. I will be coming here as many times as I can . I had a chance to volunteer at the serene Vedanta Spiritual & Holistic Retreat Center last year. I stayed there for three weeks in December and helped primarily in the kitchen. The entire experience was quite self-transforming. After my arrival, I was wholeheartedly accepted as part of the retreat team and guided so well that I felt very inclusive, which helped me learn a lot about the complexities of what goes behind running a successful and thriving retreat center.

Working alongside Deepakji and Kristen was the most rewarding for me. Their gentle mentoring approach helped me contribute my best and imbibe many new things related to learning meditation and yoga. During the retreats, it used to get very hectic, but at the same time, the directions I received helped me get involved in a variety of tasks. I was granted full access and even allowed to attend some of the retreat sessions, which was very fulfilling. My other mentors, Ocxana and Lucio, made my stay memorable with their great attitude and excellent company, making them my lifelong friends.

In addition to mentoring, the place itself is exceptionally well maintained, and staying there was bliss in terms of the center's natural beauty as it is high up in the Sequoia national forest. During my short stay, I could experience my meditative practice improve. The place makes it easy to meditate both in the day as it is very peaceful and at night when the stars come out, it is dazzling, to say the least. I meditated during the nights for a few days, and it was invigorating. I made many new friends and shared my practice with others, strengthening my passion for holistic living.

In terms of my stay, I was provided a very comfortable room with all modern facilities and taken care well. One could not ask for a better time. If you are looking for selfless service and improve your meditative practice, I highly recommend volunteering at this center.

I, for one, am sure - will go back again there.

Vedanta offers just about everything for everyone.
Yoga, meditation, hiking, connecting with nature, and so much more. The location is fantastic, surrounded by hot springs, river and mountains. The hosts make you feel like home. Food is icing on the cake! I highly recommend this retreat.

This was truly an amazing experience and I am so happy that I had the opportunity. I’ve added new skills and ways to love myself wholeheartedly while in the day to day huddle of the “real world” Kristen and Oxana were amazing and truly want you to become your best self. Their duo dynamic is awesome and I am grateful for their teachings and the wisdom I have gained from them both. Deepak is a very warm and nice man. His cooking will warm your heart and bring joy to your belly! Best Indian cuisines I’ve had to experience. The relationships I’ve build with the others during the retreat will be one to remember. I was able to just reboot, relax, and be with nature. This was a great opportunity and I would highly recommend if you’re needing to relax, escape and get more intouch with your soul and Mother Nature. I want to go back and I will.
