Gateway Church of Visalia

The importance of people understanding God’s love for them is extremely important. God’s desire is that each human being comes and knows Jesus Christ and seeks to know and follow His example.

I moved to visalia when I was 12. It took my mom and me almost 10 years to finally find a church to call home. 10+ years later, and this church is not only (still) my home, but also now my husband's and children's 💕

We love this church! Everyone is so welcoming, and they have a great kids program. Pastor Ed always explains how what we are learning in the Bible applies to modern day.

We started attending Gateway in November 2017. The church feels very welcoming as you walk in and has both a Cafe (where you can purchase bagels, breakfast burritos and doughnuts to mochas, hot chocolate and lattes) and a free coffee bar. People hang out and chat between services.
They have a brand new children's addition on the building and it is beautiful. The Children's staff and volunteers are welcoming and kind and the computerized check-in helps me know that my kids are safe and secure. We have a one year old and three year old and they both love it! We always feel at ease dropping them off and know they are learning about Jesus in their classes.
The music (both choir/orchestra and contemporary services) is top notch and I truly feel like I can comfortably worship in both environments. Pastor Ed is a wonderful teacher and is great at preaching each sermon with good context, solid Biblical study and relevant application.
I also attend the weekly Women's Bible study and I am so thankful to find a group of amazing women who are seeking to know God's Word and apply it in their everyday lives.
We are so thankful that we found Gateway. It has richly blessed our lives already and will continue to bless many others!
