I suspect most people are not aware of what the The Delta Mosquito and Vector Control District does nor why the district was created. I am an old guy and remember when mosquitoes were a much more common pest. Many homes has screened in porches for a reason. Mosquitos of several kinds are still a problem but the work of the Abatement District has dramatically reduced the threat of mosquitos for everyone on the community. The staff of the district provide essential services to our community. The district has a highly qualified staff who provide a well considered plan for managing mosquitos and other pests that are a danger to all of us in Visalia.
