Oxnard Beach Park

Love this place so much. Great park so much improvement since I was a kid!! Fun for all awesome for parties and picnics!

The park is well kept with walking paths and lots or grassy places for kids to play and adults to practice Yoga. You have a park connected to the beach. The best of both worlds. I stopped by the park today between jobs! The water was excellent and the views were suburb. Because of El-Nino the waves were very high and powerful... I got some great video of that but did not take a boat out to see the grey whales so I missed it, even though they are there now!!!!!.....migrating!!!!!!

Great area, from the playground to the water. Great long park with a ton of grass, and plenty of sand to the water too.
The area reminds me of BuenaVentura Beach with the small hills to go over from the parking lot to the water.
They have a concrete pathway that leads you all the way to a good depth into the beach sand.
Between the sand hills there are spots you can stay in that are a tiny bit secluded and slanted too.

Place to get together, it's a free option if you know where to park on the side streets. If you are planning a big get together like a birthday for young kids or a BBQ theres plenty of space. Some of the things you can do: run around on the grass, eat food, watch your kids on the playground, go to the beach.

This beach park is scenic and picturesque. The only minor drawback is the fact that visitors must pay to park in the parking lot. The shore of this beach has smallish dunes, flowers and greenery that contribute to the natural beauty of the area. This park is worth checking out.
