Light fog - fresh air and green vistas around. Need I say more?
What a great area to hike and bicycle. I have ridden and hiked the whole area. From lizard rock to Paradise Falls to The Bat Cave and to Newbury park. Something for everyone. Creeks with foot bridges and plenty of trees, flora and fauna. Watch out for an abundance of poison oak in the shade and near water crossings.
A bit rough if you're carrying a heavy backpack, but overall a great day hike. I recommend starting on the other end, starting on the road. This makes the last part an easy downhill cruise right to your car.
This hike is pretty nice. If you want to go for a good long hike you can walk from this trail around the the falls and back. It's almost 5 miles and is really fun. The parking is good here too. There's plenty in the lot and you can park on the street if you need to.
Nice hike with my 9 year old son. Lots of people out but the trail wasn't very crowded. Good views and the hike can be done in less than 2 hours.
