Really cool spot to hike to. It's not a far hike nor a particularly strenuous hike. We made it with a stroller though at some parts it is certainly not recommended to take a stroller. You can't swim in the water, but it is a beautiful little spot with some fun rocks for exploring for kids or adults.
Nice hike to a really great waterfall. It's an easy hike, our 9 year old had no problem making it the entire way. We packed lunches and had lunch at the falls. There is also a covered place to stop along the way, the tee pee, where you can get out of the sun on a hot day. We've done the hike multiple times and the kids love it.
******Do not go swimming here***** The water is runoff from the streets on its way to the treatment plant a mile away. Imagine swimming in the Los Angeles River. Wonderful to look at and the only area in Wildwood you cant see houses and roads. It is a moderate and mostly flat trail to get here. The end is a hike downhill. You would not expect a waterfall to be here when you park at the trail head next to cacti.
Absolutely love this place. Beautiful moderate hike which definitely ends with a great payoff. I'd recommend this hike to anyone. I do believe it is closed down currently due to the fires which were located right next to the trail but have not been so I can't say for sure that it's closed.
Very nice hike in a semi-arid canyon setting. Can get quite warm, but there are drinking fountains available. Waterfall was running even during an extended dry spell. Easy walk to the falls, but a bit of a steep walk back out. Recommend
