1st Review:
After talking to three companies we decided on Codella Solar & Associates to install our pool's solar heating system. Codella's price was competitive and we felt comfortable with Aharon the owner of the company. He came to our home, presented the different options available, explained his recommendations, designed our system and gave us a detailed quote.
Upon our acceptance of the quote, Aharon worked with us to schedule the installation, began the installation as scheduled and personally worked daily on our project until it was complete. That included my requests to relocate the rooftop temperature sensor, install additional tie-down straps and to take up a number of pavers to run pipes underground and placing them back as if they had not been disturbed. That was in the early spring of 2017, since then we have enjoyed two trouble free summers with our 90 degree solar heated pool. I highly recommend Codella Solar for installation of a solar heating system on your pool.
2nd Review:
We prefer to deal with local professionals and Codella Solar is based in Ventura. Aharon submitted the best quote and he and his crew did a great job installing solar heating for our pool. We have enjoyed two years of problem free late spring, summer, and early fall swimming in our ninety degree pool.
The second job was to install solar electric and a charger for our electric vehicle (EV). Aharon was very thorough in his explanation of the various considerations including sizing of the system. Aharon made a second visit to our home with Mike, the electrician that would do the charger install, going over our options as to charger and sub-panel location since our garage is at the opposite end of the house from the main electrical panel. Mike included as an option the ability to easily add a second charger should a second EV be in our future.
Codella Solar provided separate quotes, one for the solar electric install listing four size options and a second for the charger install with two options. Both Aharon and Mike once again came out to explain the very detailed quote options. Offering a generous credit if both solar and charger were installed by Codella Solar.
We selected Codella Solar after comparing the Codella Solar quotes to the four other solar and charger installation quotes we had obtained, viewing three Codella solar installations and visiting a home with Aharon and Mike where they had done a very nice install of both solar and EV chargers. Upon our acceptance of both a solar and charger option the Codella team, Aharon, Mike and Jim, had the solar install materials delivered and began installation. One of the things we like in dealing with Codella Solar is that the individuals that work with you to provide a quote are the same individuals that do the actual installation.
During the process of getting the quote it was stressed that we wanted a clean and visually pleasing arrangement of the solar panels on the roof with as much of the conduit, junction boxes and wiring as possible hidden from the front view of our home. I believe Codella Solar did an excellent job accomplishing this. Aharon and his team were very easy to work with, accommodating our suggestions and preferences within the scope of the options we had selected.
Roxanne, Codella Solar’s Administrative Assistant, submitted our inverter monitoring registration information to SolarEdge and our Permission To Operate (PTO) request to Southern California Edison (SCE) as soon as the install was completed (maybe before).
Overall Codella Solar, once again, did an outstanding job, completing the installation in a timely manner and easy to work with. We look at installing solar as prepaying the next few years home electric and transportation power expenses and being powered almost free by the sun after the break even point.
Codella was very helpful in the whole process of fitting our house with electric and pool solar. They coordinated with the city and power company to make sure we were compliant on all fronts. The installation went smoothly and the system has been working as promised. There was always the fear of the unknown when engaging a contractor for expensive projects, especially something so foreign to me as solar power, but these guys did a great job and put all my fears to rest.
Codella Solar was awesome to work with. They are very professional and did excellent work. My pool is 85-90 in the summer and the kids love it. Well worth going with Codella because they know what they're doing and they're for sure the experts when it comes to pool solar and solar panels in general.
Codella Solar is very professional. They are willing to spend time explaining exactly the work to be done and what system would work best. They left the area of installation cleaner than when they started, were early to start and finished on time. Their system works so well; our pool was warm enough to swim within a day. Wish we had done this sooner. Looking forward to many more evening swims now and using it further into the fall and winter season. There is no one else but Codella to install your solar system.
Codella Solar is excellent! Reasonable prices and quick service. They are very knowledgeable about all things solar and got our pool solar running on the first visit. They also came out for a subsequent visit to help me reset my programming box. I highly recommend this company!
