“We come here with friends, set up a shared site and feel like we have our own little slice of Heaven all to ourselves. The beach is clean and almost completely empty of people. The campground has been really quiet, probably because its mid week. Wishing for more sun this trip, but still any day at the edge of the Ocean is a good one, right???”

“Great place for its closeness to the ocean. You can no longer have fires in the rocks. Bring a portable pit. Some people have fires because the don't read the rules.”

“This is a cute little shop in the Faria State Beach Campground. They have all sorts of goodies here for campers, coffee, fries, sandwhiches, and burgers. This is an awesome campground, but it's (MOST UNFORTUNATELY) NOT first come first serve anymore. That's what used to make it so special. Now you have to go online and book in advance, like everywhere else. This place is still so amazing/perfect/special, but it's definitely changed since I was a kid.”

“Took my dog Tara for her 1st visit to the beach. This place is easy to get to right off the 101, easy parking, friendly people camped out and easy access to the beach and it is a very nice place to just sit and watch the surfers too. There is a small cafe snack place, public wash rooms and place to sit down and eat while watching the surf.”

“Mary is both a very professional business owner and exceptional instructor. My kids both attended her Summer Surf Camp and had a blast. She had them standing up and riding waves their first day of camp. Mary was very observant and safety was her priority with the kids in the camp throughout the day. If the waves were too big for beginners, she took the proper measures to make sure each kid was safe. I highly recommend Mary if you want your kids to have an amazing surfing experience.”

“The staff are wonderful, helpful, and fun to talk to. Service is fast; my French toast and bacon (both delicious) got to me in less than 10 minutes. Food is great for a park restaurant. Edit: They have bottomless mimosas for $12. Just sayin'”

“Came in late and stayed in overflow on the back side of the lake. The staff and rangers where super friendly and helpful. The other guests where friendly quiet and the evening was cool with a nice breeze. Not loud at all. Loved hearing the sounds of nature while we settled down for the night. We RV camp so no need to use the facilities but there are flushing toilets water facet near every sight.”

“This is definitely the place to be if you’re looking for some action and relaxation kid friendly bring sunscreen that’s for sure they got a small water park just enough to satisfy you the lake is beautiful management they just come out and greet you any questions you ask them they have a solid answer they just know the land like the back of their hand in that area it is a special place there are some special birds that come on a regular basis every day if I remember correctly these birds are very rare and you can’t find them unless somebody guide you to them. The campground well I’ll tell you it’s fantastic whether you’re pitching a tent or pulling in a small RV they can accommodate you. We have a large family large as in extremely large some of my family wanted to camp with their children in the tent great experience the lake is Low I guess because of the drought. It’s amazing we booked one whole area of the park and we requested four trailers they bring they bring the trailers and set everything up air conditioning propane tank cooking sleeping for eight people including children but you can work it out and add more people into your trailer comfortably just everything you need to make you comfortable. It says waterpark adventure it is at the rest of the day and morning and after the park closes for the water adventure that’s when you throw the logs on the fire place let the children play badminton soccer volleyball etc. we brought the equipment but they have the area it’s nice to have a place when they say it’s private it’s by reservation only book an advance what you have to do anyway They have a great general store you could drive or walk to it’s pretty cool made friends with the owner waited for the ice truck like everybody else it is an adventure hot by daytime kind a cool my night time but with the campfire very comfortable. It is the place we go regularly now and will be planning another trip soon. Thank you to the employees and the owner and the host turned in To a incredible weekend we actually did it on Fourth of July we thought it would be a madhouse but it wasn’t very pleasant check it out it’s in between the mountain and the ocean what a great deal and if you’re in the Southern California area it’ll be a short trip about one hour 20 minutes that’s about the same waiting time in the Los Angeles area once you’re out of Los Angeles it’s great when I say it’s great is that you could pull over to all of The fruit stands antique stores small little town and just have a blast. I’m going back I hope you check it out specially if you’re in the Southern California area. Thank you to the staff and will see you soon. After many years at the same residence over 25 years we relocated just around the corner but the photos are available it’s just a matter of me getting to them as a large family it’s hard to keep up with everything.Thank you to the general store in the host in the employees that work there it is a very large place to take care of and they are doing an excellent job. Thank you”
