Florie is great with my 9 and 5 year old children. They are both quite different and she has done such a beautiful job assessing their needs and skills as well as utilizing tools and strategies to best serve them. She teaches violin the Suzuki way, which we like. She is calm, patient, creative, and fun. She is also great about communicating with parents - helping guide me to better assist the kids with their practicing, as well as taking into consideration my feedback with how the children are doing with practicing. I highly recommend her for anyone seeking violin instruction.
We love Florie! She’s such a calm presence. The way she instructs is very gentle and kind. She is genuine with her students even though she has many. My daughter has been taking violin with Florie for just about 2yrs and there’s no sign of stopping. We are loyal fans. She’s a truly awesome jaw dropping fiddler too!
Florie is the best! Florie has been teaching my son Suzuki violin for over three years. We love her laid back approach and desire to make violin lessons fun. I also appreciate Florie's flexibility to work with us when school/sports/work schedules change periodically. Florie is also very generous with her time; when she and my son are having fun playing together, it is not unusual for his lessons to go beyond 30 minutes. I highly recommend Fiddlin' with Florie!
My son began with Florie when he was 5. I am very happy with how things have gone over this first year. Having watched them at lessons, I would say one of the fruits of Florie's years of experience is that she has an intuitive understanding of what's happening behind the sealed lips of a small child, at an age when they won't (or can't) really express themselves. You will also notice that she has a naturally calming presence. These are very good characteristics for any music teacher, but especially in a Suzuki context, I think. A sincere Thank You from us!
Florie has been teaching my daughter improvisation and fiddle for several months. My daughter enjoys her lessons with Florie, and she has appreciated developing her new skills set on the violin. I highly recommend Florie
