Amy, the occupational therapist and staff are friendly and their main goal is to ensure success in every client. Amy is very knowledgeable and takes occupational therapy to a very creative level by creating weekly themes adjusted for every child’s goals. Children are exposed to activities both outdoors and indoors that help develop everyday skills such as cognitive and social skills. Parents mention they love seeing the progress in their children and are fascinated by the benefits of hippotherapy and by the caring and gentle horses. I highly recommend this place, go check it out!
(August 27, 2020, 8:53 pm)From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by friendly staff and a wonderful occupational therapist. Both went out of their way to make sure that I had all my questions answered and that each pediatric client had as much fun as possible. The facility includes regularly cleaned indoor and outdoor riding arenas with an indoor gym for additional therapy services. During the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple parents have said that during their time at Highest Potential Therapy, their children have shown vast improvements in their daily functioning. Susie, the horse handler, and Amy, the occupational therapist, both work seamlessly together to provide the highest level of custom and individual treatments to each and every pediatric client. HIGHLY recommend!
(March 31, 2020, 12:20 am)I have greatly enjoyed watching Amy’s occupational therapy sessions. She has successfully combined her passion for working with individuals with special needs with her love of horses. Amy is well prepared with themed therapy tasks that she modifies to accommodate each child’s need. Amy is extremely clear in her expectations for the children and desires for them to complete tasks as independently as possible. I know that both of these things boost each child’s self-confidence. Susie, the horse handler, communicates clearly to the horses and this allows the sessions to be completed smoothly. The horses are trustworthy, gentle, and kind with each child. I am amazed with how well the children perform and know it is a result of Amy’s skill as well as through the use of horses as a treatment tool.
(March 11, 2020, 11:03 pm)Amy is an amazing occupational therapist! She is truly dedicated to helping individuals with special needs and their families. The use of horses as a treatment tool provides such a unique experience for the children that they cannot receive from a typical clinic setting. Susie, the horse handler, is the best at what she does. She and Amy always prioritize the safety of the children. I have witnessed the most extraordinary improvements from children as a result of the services they receive- not to mention the beautiful facility!
(March 11, 2020, 10:45 pm)It is incredible seeing children working with Amy to build strong attentive, sensory, behavioral, motor, and cognitive skills. The therapy sessions are well planned, very creative, nicely executed and are well tailored to each child's individual goals. I have witnessed many times the children completing exercises that they were not able to achieve in the past. Slowly and steadily, these children accomplish small cognitive, motor and behavior skills in ways where parents tell me that each small improvements their children makes transitions into a huge leap which enhances their family's daily life. I genuinely find hippo-therapy treatment a fascinating, meaningful and memorable experience. I would recommend for any family and child that needs occupational therapy with Amy.
