“We had a wonderful time at the saddle up wine tours. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A few friends and I signed up for their bronze wine tour package. It was the best way to spend the weekend. While we waited to start the tour we got the opportunity to meet the goats and their two puppies on the property. The horses all had unique personalities which made the tour even more enjoyable. Our tour guide Melanie shared great background of the history of the horse rescue. The wine tasting experience paired with the package was also really wonderful! Would highly recommend.”

The variety of things to do, from the inviting turquoise blue water to the chaparral-lined rugged coastal trails, offer fun for all ages: snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and hanging out in hammocks to name a few. All of this within easy reach of hustle-bustle SoCal. Well worth it! The whole experience was amazing, filled with Catalina’s natural beauty, island wildlife and rustic charm that’s hard to beat! “Amazing time, good weather helps too, but be prepared for anything, sometimes it can be a little windy out there. The amenities are excellent, snack bar, drinks, bathrooms, they take cards and cash. This boat had two floors, you have to climb stairs, it has inside booths and tables and plenty of benches along the sides and 2nd floor. Fun ride, be sure to hold on to the rail! If you have kids they are gonna enjoy it! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always looking out to keep everyone safe, don't do anything stupid though, you are gonna be way out in the ocean looking for whales or dolphins (which are whales).”

“Madison Arena is a really excellent trainer. After having some harrowing incidents with horse riding, she was so patient about helping me back into the saddle and riding comfortably and confidently again (even back to being ok jumping!) She is also very well educated on horses themselves and horse welfare as all of her horses are beautifully taken care of and no corners are ever cut. I would trust any one of my friends and family in her training program, regardless of their abilities or age!”

“My husband and I stayed in Cabin 20 this past weekend and had a fabulous time. The temperature in Big Bear was exceptionally hot, but before we checked in Loraine had gone up to the cabin to ensure all the blinds were closed up and had the window AC unit on ready for our arrival. We enjoyed the close proximity to the Village, and our cabin (being higher up on the hill) even had a peekaboo view of the lake. Definitely recommend choosing Cabin 20 since it is up higher than the rest and thus provides a little more privacy. The in-cabin jacuzzi is a huge bonus! The cabin also has a fireplace with complimentary wood that they provide—it was a little too warm this weekend for us to use, but would be a great amenity for the wintertime! We’re looking forward to coming back.”
